The Falling One

A couple hours earlier, a teenage girl had just logged into her account that she abandoned a few years prior. Wanting to check out the features of her avatar again, she went off in the direction of England's Willowshire. On the way there, she tried to fly with the wings on her back , only to get a few miles, but then suddenly fall to the ground, after getting the message:

* You are too close to the sky limit, falling to normal height now! *

After a few moments of falling, she fell through the cloud layer, only to find that a Dereph was heading in her direction. She did not scream as she fell as, in Seaya, one does not take damage from heights. The only real troublesome thing at this point was trying to figure out how to deploy her weapon from her space. Typically to access a avatar's feature one must say a voice command or do a hand gesture. The falling angel did both of the regular voice commands that she had memorized by heart—nothing worked.
The girl was staring to have a panic attack, as she could not operate her wings due to the backlash of being too close to the height limit and she had no clue as to aces her weapon. The Dereph was no only a few seconds away from her face, its wings spread far out. With nothing to do, the girl braced herself for an in-game death, which came quite painfully.
The girl woke up in the one of many respawn points in Seaya, each designed to look like a memorial. This particular respawn point was located in the middle of Fuire in the United States. A Fuire is one of the many cities of Seaya that house respawn points, but these particular cities are home to the Transportation Portal, or the TraGate. TraGates are only located in specific cities, which allow players to travel between one country to the next very easily. However, a player in Seaya can cross the Atlantic Ocean to another country, but no one wishes to express that much time and energy. These TraGates serve the purpose of easy and quiz transportation plus the use of in-game trade.

The girl had respawned on top of the Start-Point—an place within cities like Fuire where all players that within that range spawn at every time they log in. Each SP is typically located in the nearest large city. These cities tend to be congregating spots for guilds and players. However, a player may be able to spawn wherever they wish, provided that they have a high enough level.

The girl stood upon the Start-Point while overlooking the crowd, her silver hair shining in the in-game sunlight accenting the various shades of royal purple within. Her eyes searching the area around her for a good place to eat shone a bright gold with some orange underneath. As she started to walk about the town, her grey leggings hung to her legs showing off muscles and the gold trims on the leggings. And the dark royal purple sash wrapped around her waist, a part hanging to her left side a little further down, fluttered with her walking. And then she worse a sky blue top with gold accents that hung tightly to her thin, and flat, form. As she kept walking around, her low-heeled dark-brown boots clanked against the ground in frustration. As she turned a corner, her mini-no-sleeve light purple vest, also with gold accents, was pulled closer in. The colors of her clothing helped to accent her ivory skin in the sunlight.

After fifteen minutes of walking, the girl finally found the restaurant that she had been looking for. It was a semi-modern looking cafe on the outside with wooden beams and cravings, and metal pillars filling in the rest. On the inside, the cafe had a high-arched ceiling that consisted of oak wood fluting buttresses. Glass windows littered the top of the ceiling in a somewhat random orientation giving the place a, almost, mystical look. However, throughout the place were many small "floating islands" that consisted of either a table with chairs or just a chair and a small table to put a berate or snack on. In this cafe, called Cornerstone, guilds or parties may hold meetings here on one of these islands. Although the islands are very openly seen, a sound-buffering spell is placed on special islands and sometimes illusion spells to keep the secrecy of the meetings intact. This cafe is well-known in DC for the gathering of many guilds and parties, but its also well-known among manly book lovers as a place to go to quietly read a book under natural light.

When the girl entered the cafe she was delighted to find that she managed to get in during the slow hour of the day. This meant that she would be able to have a spot that wasn't under too much of Seaya's sun, but was right next to the window that faced the bustling street below. When she got up to the counter she asked for book on Flight Management and Avatar Controls, which gave her a stare and the murmur of "newbie" from the clerk. Avatar controls are usually controls that a player learns as soon as they start up the game, but sometimes many players do not realize this which results in total mayhem. Luckily, there are books to help the player relearn their controls. Controls are mostly universal to each character with only small differences in between.

As she did not want to risk using her wings again, last time she kept on just flapping them, the girl stepped upon a hexagonal surface that flew her up to the spot that the clerk had registered. The spot was at a sofa in the corner that shifted into the most comfortable couch for each person that sat upon it, leading to a nice and relaxing time. The sofa was against the corner right near the window with a small movable table on the side. The movable table held an order station where a player may order any drink that they want on the menu using their in-game currency. The in-game currency could be gained only by working inside Seaya, one could not transfer real money into Seaya; it all has to be earned. Utilizing her in-game currency, the girl ordered a hot chocolate. She laid on the sofa which shifted in order to accommodate her wings. She quietly read her book while devouring her hot chocolate.

It was a couple hours later when she finally finished the two books she got. In the guide Avatar Control: Neophyte Edition, the book automatically personalized itself to the person reading it, so when the person reads it the controls for the player's avatar is stated clearly in the book. It also listed the her stats, weapon, and spells. She also read Flight Management which was a documentation by various players with flying avatars on how-to-fly. With this knowledge the girl headed out of the cafe and back to England's Willowshire through the TraGrate.
