Prologue

Lottie lead in her bed, cuddling up to her stuffed pig, Mr. Truffles. Ellie was sorting out CDs on the other side of their dorm, singing loudly to rock music. Lottie sighed and stared at the picture of her mother on her bedside table. She missed her mother, she was always so kind, and listened to Lottie no matter what. Lottie quickly snapped out of her sad state and plastered a smile across her face.

"Ellie, are you actually..... Tidying?" Lottie asked in amusement.

"No, I just like to know where all my CDs are." She answered matter-of-factly, sticking her tongue out at Lottie.

Lottie didn't respond to this, but sat up and started to walk into the bathroom. She quickly dressed into a pretty white lace top, a pale pink skirt, white tights and pink slip-ons.

She wondered down the corridor to breakfast to see Jamie. He gave her one of his rare smiles, that was, until Ellie walked up to them, carrying a huge plate of Danishes.

Lottie blushed and quickly ate a strawberry. She suddenly realised that they had not seen Binah for 3 days...
