Chapter
1Italy was in the kitchen working on the orders he was getting. The pizzeria he and most of the other nations worked at was relatively small and not that popular but they tried.
England made his way into the kitchen. “Italy, let me help.” Italy put up his hands as if he was saying to stop where England was.
“No, no, no that's fine! I got it!” He chuckled and continued.
“Italy!” A German voice called out.
He jumped, “Yes Germany?” He looked towards the blonde muscular man.
“Allow England to help you so he doesn't complain.”
Italy felt a sweatdrop go down his cheek. “B-But Germany, England has no taste,”
England growls. “Fine, I'll keep working as a cashier, but mark my words Italy this will cost you.” He huffed before walking back out to the counter.
Canada looked at him. “You know I wouldn't have minded switching places with England.” He smiled at Italy. Italy just continued working, Canada tapped his shoulder. Italy screeched and looked straight at Canada.
“Germany, G-Germany helpppp!” He yelled. Germany came running in and saw Italy mortified in a corner. “What is it Italy? What's wrong?” Italy points a shaky finger at Canada.
“Th-There's a ghost Germany!” Germany walked over to Canada, he turns to Italy. His face looks confused and disappointed. “Uh, Italy… There's no ghost. That's just Canada.” America walked.
“Hey what's all the racket- Oh hey Canada.”
A human figure appeared by Germany, it turned from transparent to opaque. “AH! GERMANY IT SHOWING ITSELF NOW!” Germany went by Italy. He sat by him and smiled. “Hey Italy calm down. It's not a ghost, it's just Canada.”
Italy walked over to Canada nervously and put his hand on Canada's shoulder. “Oh, it is just Canada. Sorry.” He smiled and his face became its regular happy self. Italy continued working while America and Germany stared in amazement at the quick mood change. Germany turned to America.
“Go back to work now another customer is coming in.” America smiled and put his hands on the back of his head. He walked to the counter and watched as Sweden and Finland walked in.
“What a pleasant surprise to see you two here!” Spoke America, energetically. England smiled, “Yes it is a pleasant surprise.” Finland smiled somewhat, Sweden held him close. Finland looked down and chuckled.
“Haha, yeah I guess.” A sweat rolled down his face much like Italy. Sweden looked slightly upset. “Finland insisted we come in, so here we are.” Finland looked up at them. “Anyways,” America blurted out Finland and Sweden’s order.
He didn't care, it seemed like England was handling it anyways. He walked into the break room when the two took their seats. America sat down and sighed. England came in, he closed the door softly.
“America what's wrong, it's unlike you to air out customers.”
America shrugged, “Don't you have to work at the counter.” England shook his head. He took a seat by America. “France and Japan are covering it.” England and America sat in awkward silence until Japan came into the back room with them.
“Eng-England, I can't work with him,” he said shakily. What sounded like France putting on a sing-songy voice spoke, “Oh Japan, come back out~.”
Japan switched out for America. “I'll talk about it later. Right now it's time to be the hero!” He seemed happy, but it sounded forced. England sighed and placed his hands on his lap as America walked out. “What's wrong with America,” Japan spoke worriedly.
He looked at England who seemed on edge. He kept glancing through the window in the door. “I don't know, he just seems off today. It might be, because of what happened with… Nevermind.” Japan was curious but didn't ask. It was obviously a sensitive subject.
England shook his head and looked at Japan. “What happened between you and France anyways?” Japan shivered, he scootched away from the door.
A screech came from the kitchen. “Italy.” England murmured angrily. When Japan and England made it there everyone else was already around the source noise of the screech.Even Sweden and Finland, to England’s surprise it wasn't Italy. Instead, it was Russia, Poland, and Lithuania
“Come on Lithuania, just put on the dress! You'd look so cute!” Poland spoke waving a maid outfit in his face. Poland was wearing the same maid outfit. Russia was endorsing Poland. He put on a passive-aggressive face,
“Put on the dress or I break you.” Lithuania squeaked and took the outfit.
He started for the back room. Poland grabbed his hand. “Why not put it on right here.” He squeaked and pulled his hand away, then booked it for the break room.
He locked the door and got dressed, he walked back out and slammed the door. He mumbled something and walked back into the kitchen. He helped Italy cook, still annoyed about previous events. Poland came up too him.
“Lithuania, you actually look good.” Poland seemed genuine, this made Lithuania happy so he smiled. “You also look cute.”
They shared a chuckle. Back out with Sweden and Finland. The two had finished and were sitting awkwardly.
“I-I can pay Swe-”
But Sweden interrupted by placing his hand on Finland’s hand and stating seriously.
“No.”
“It's really no trouble.” Finland smiled and took out his wallet. He took the digital screen and was about to swipe his card.
“No,”
Sweden spoke monotonously. Finland nodded, “So what are we going to do until we pay.”
Sweden took out his card. “I'll pay.” He responded in the same tone he said ‘No’ in. Finland stayed quiet until the two left. He was still quiet after that but at least they had left. Italy came out and cleaned off the table. Germany took the dishes,
“Sorry, Italy we can't afford another mistake to happen.” Italy lazily held up a thumbs up. He smiled and spoke carefreely,
“No problem Germany. I'm going to take a break though.” He had been cooking all day so at least it was well deserved. He sleepily went into the break room were Japan and England were seated.
“Italy, taking another break? You lazy bum.”
England spoke as if he was better. “Actually no, hehe this is my first break today,” Italy said in the same tone as England had used.
China had come out of the back, “Well I'm off.” He spoke with a grin.
Germany came out after he finished the dishes. “China, where are you heading.” China crossed his arms. “That's for me too know and for you too never find out.”
Japan came out after Germany. “China where are you going.” China I crossed his arms and grinned. “Ah, Japan! I just got an order to work on another cafe near here.”
Germany scratched his chin. “This could be bad.”
