Pity Party

Josie walked over to me as I stared curiously at her. Her arm snakes around mine, linking us together.

"Thanks" I smiled genuinely.
"Come join us Sabrina" Josie began, as she led me over to a table.

There, sat at the table, was the jocks and rebellious kids from my year. I sat down next to Josie and then carried on talking to her, occasionally seeing Susie staring at me, out of the corner of my eyes.

Josie became engulfed in a conversation with one of her friends and so I looked down at the table, unsure of what to say, feeling awkward as I didn't know anyone at the table.

Josie, realising her mistake then announced, "Oh where are my manners. This is Sabrina.", to everyone at the table.

I then became immersed in a conversation with Jodie's good friend, Maia. She asked about Harvey and I, to which I told her about everything that happened (minus the witch part).

"Why were you wondering?" I asked Maia as I then grew curious as to why she had commented on it.

"Oh because of that..." she gestured with her eyes, behind me. I turned around and noticed Ros and Harvey together with Susie at another table. Ros was talking to Harvey as he locked eyes with me, his eyes full of hatred towards me.

I quickly turned my gaze back to Maia.
"Yeh, he's with Ros now" I said pitifully.
"Isn't she your bestfriend?!" Maia pondered.
"She was. I thought anyway" I replied, before deciding to excuse myself.

Josie then stood up with me and we went off to the hallways to get our books for the class after lunch. As we were walking towards Harvey's table towards the exit, Josie glared at Ros and Harvey. Susie captured my eyes in hers. Looking at her, disappointment was evident in my eyes.

I was disappointed at her. She had multiple chances to inform me of Harvey and Ros but chose to keep me in the dark. But I was mostly infuriated with Ros and Harvey.

How could they? How could Ros? I thought she was my bestfriend.
