Chapter 18

Prof. Vardhan was busy in his work when someone knocked the door of his cabin.

"May I come in sir?" Sanyukta asked knocking the door.

"Yes come in." Vardhan said thus Sanyukta entered next.

"Sir aapne mujhe bulaya?" She asked came inside.

"Yes Sanyukta." Vardhan said when forwarding a paper at her.

"Yeh lo, yeh mere practical classes ki time table hain. Tum aapne classes ki hisab se laboratory ka kaam manage kar lena." Vardhan said firmly thus Sanyukta nodded.

"Yes sir I'll manage it." Sanyukta replied thus Vardhan smirked.

"You know what Sanyukta I hate to making notes. Copy check karna and note banana yeh dono mere liye torture hain. I like to give running notes but students, every year they were nagging me for notes, notes and notes. They wants only notes. Kuch shikhne se matlab nehi hain inko sirf ratta maar ke exam pass karna chahate hain yeh log."

"So I decided ke jo yeh log chahate hain wo main innhe de dunga phir mera vi headache kam ho jayega and I wanted you to make all the notes as now you are my assistant." Vardhan said thus Sanyukta looked at him shockingly.

"But sir main kaise? I mean yeh syllabus toh mere liye vi new hain." Sanyukta said confusingly.

"Yeah I forgot that." Vardhan said and get up from the chair.

"You know what Sanyukta Agarwal it's my mistake that I expect much from you. Jab jab main tumhe unique samajhne ki galti karta hu tum puri responsibility ke saath mujhe yeh yaad dila deti ho that you are a mediocre only. Don't know tumhe scholarship kaise mill geya!" Vardhan said mockingly.

"Sir main mediocre nehi hu." Sanyukta said slowly.

"Tum ek mediocre ho Sanyukta Agarwal that's why you are not confident enough. Galti kar di maine tum par trust karke." Vardhan said sternly.

"Sir main mediocre nehi hu aur mujhe khud par pura bhadosha hain. I just wanted to say ke yeh syllabus toh mere liye vi neyi hain toh phir notes banake liye aapki guidance mill jati toh..." She said firmly.

"Keya guidance chahiye tumhe Sanyukta Agarwal?" Vardhan asked sternly.

"Sir notes banane ke pehele aagar aap mujhe wo chapter samjha denge toh it'll be easy for me." Sanyukta replied confidently.

"Hmm not a bad idea, okay everyday 1 hour.  I think 1 hour is enough for you Sanyukta." Vardhan said thoughtfully.

"Yes sir, it'll be enough." Sanyukta replied.

"Okay then 6 P.M sharp at my house. Understand?" Vardhan said firmly.

"Yes sir." Sanyukta said hiding her excitement.

"Okay you can go now." Vardhan said.

"Thank you sir. I mean yes sir." Sanyukta said happily.

"But remember one thing Sanyukta you have just 1 month. I can give you only 1 month. Kyu ki aagar mere pass kisi cheese ki kami hain toh wo hain waqt." Vardhan said sternly.

"Don't worry sir I'll manage." Sanyukta said and about to go but stopped next and looked at Vardhan. "Sir aap mujhe personal coaching dene ke liye issi liye raazi huye na kyu ki kahi na kahi aap jante hain ke laboratory mein jo blast huya wo mere wajase nehi huya tha, I was not guilty." Sanyukta asked when Vardhan was short of words.

"Sanyukta now I have my class so excuse me please." Vardhan said and left from there when Sanyukta also came out from the cabin.

"Umm sir ki lab....ohh shit iss class ke baad hi toh sir ki lab hain! Thank god yeh period off hain, bhag Sanyu jaldi bhag." Sanyukta said to herself and rushed towards the laboratory.
