The Matsuno sextuplets had just turned 18 years old, and were preparing for their highschool graduation. Next week, they would be on their way to adulthood, finding purpose in their own lives. Some wanted to go to college, others immediately wanted to go into the work force. Some even would just take their time, letting whatever came across their path take them away.
But one brother, the eldest one, couldn't think like that.
Osomatsu was too wrapped up in his mind, thinking about his brothers. Of course he was excited for them; he wants the best for all of them. Yet, as he looked at the constant grip his hands had made, he realized he wasn't okay with this. He didn't want his brothers to leave him. He couldn't be alone. He had learned over the past 18 years that they surrounded all his surroundings. They made his world, and they could never beat any acquaintance he had, any friends he ever kept close, or any of those cute girls he occasionally stared at.
Karamatsu, the shy, pure brother that didn't know when was a good time to take a step forward. He had many dreams, like becoming a confident, full-time musician, perfecting his vocals and strumming his guitar with a purpose. He could even wear the coolest 60s fashion, showing off who he really was. But with no action and the lack of confidence, all these dreams remain as dreams in his head.
Choromatsu, the stereotypical nerd that was bullied on occasion. He had plans to go to a huge university, hoping to study stocks and business. But he was always flustered, getting nervous last minute, and backing out of the great opportunities he's gotten. He was stuck in his thoughts, as if he always carried the devil and angel on his shoulders.
Ichimatsu, the confident, average student who could easilly make friends if he just walked up to them. Yet, as of lately, he's been slowly shying away from conversation and interaction. Was he perhaps nervous for his future? The fourth brother wouldn't tell a soul what he was thinking and how he felt. What was he going to do?
Jyushimatsu, the delinquent that thought he scared the whole school. Keyword: thought. He used his angry persona just to get by, avoiding any potential bullies that used to make fun of how odd he was back in grade school. He lets this made-up anger take over, getting the best of him. He hoped that his emotions wouldn't take over, and hurt others that he truly loved.
Todomatsu, the cutest brother that the others new had to be protected. Everything about him: his sparkly eyes, the way his uniform was oversized for his height, slightly covering his hands, and how he had naturally rosy cheeks that glowed through dark cloudy skies. But could this little one wander off on his own to a new, big city? He couldn't even go to the bathroom by himself at night without someone holding his hand, how could he live on his own?
Osomatsu couldn't stop thinking these exact thoughts about his brothers. He sighed, crushing the empty can of beer, tossing it to the trashcan.
"Ow—" Choromatsu yelped, holding his forehead. Guess Osomatsu missed the can.
"Sorry." Osomatsu rubbed his nose and put on his signature teethy grin. "I was never that good at sports." He sneered
"Maybe you're just lazy and didn't want to get up." Choromatsu glared, pushing his glasses up.
"Ehhh~?" The eldest just snickered. This is the interaction and company that he always enjoyed. Just having his brothers there with him gave him purpose. His job as the oldest brother was to protect the younger ones, making sure their needs came before his. He wanted them to be happy, and come home every day with smiles on their faces. He wanted to have dinner with them every night, and enjoy the time they had together while it lasted.
Osomatsu just wished that the time they had could last longer.
