Karen's cafe
Magnolia's POV.
I'm sitting on one of the counters as Haley cleans because she is closing up. "You know I talk to Vegas for awhile and I'm thinking its a relationship and then I catch him making out with a girl. At the movie theater" I rant to Haley as she cleans. She then sighed and says "my dear sister I feel for you but maybe you should date someone nicer but honestly forget about him since he is missing out on being with the one and only magnolia grace James" Haley tell while she wipes down the other counter
"This is why I love you Haley bob James" I tell her with the biggest smile.
"Yeah I know. Ok I got to go clean the bathrooms now" she tells me and I just nod. Then Karen comes out after Haley goes into the bathroom. Then I start helping Karen clean the rest of the stuff in the cafe. Then a few minutes later Lucas comes through the front door and says "hey mom, hi lia" I just smile at him and him and his mom Karen start talking. He is Haley's bestfriend they are really close and he is also good looking. My bestfriends are Bevin and of course my twinny. Though me and Lucas are good friends I'm just not really close with him like Haley. Anyways him and Haley start having a conversation about the magazines in the bathroom. Then Karen ask if me and Haley wanted to stay for dinner. I said I couldn't since I had to go help my mom with something at home.
Next day with Bevin:
"So did you hear that Nathan and that kid Lucas you hangout with are gonna have a basketball game at rivercourt tonight," Bevin asked me. I didn't know and I can't believe Lucas is gonna verse Nathan.
"No I didn't but I can't wait to watch Lucas beat Nathan's ass" I tell Bevin
She scoffed and said "yeah right"
"You have never seen him play before. And he is really good" I tell her and she just smirked and said "we will have to wait and see"
River court:
I am driving to river court now and it is almost 12:00 and I'm late cause I had to close up at my job at American eagle. Then when I get there I see a car pull up on the court as I walk in. And the people in the car get out all dramatically. I look at them and say "a bit over the top dude" and I heat Lucas chuckle and the guy just rolled his eyes and I left to go find Haley.
During the game I see Vegas and he walks over to me and says "looking good tonight lia to bad your cheering on the wrong brother"
I just smile and I state "yeah to bad" and he just smirks and walks away.
"What was that" Haley questioned with a smirk.
"Oh shut up and watch the game" I tell her
It's toward the end of the game and then Lucas shoots the ball and everyone starts cheering and I'm confused since I don't get the game. So I look at mouth and jimmy and asked "who won"
Then mouth laughed and said "Lucas" and I just small and gave a small thanks.
"Congratulations Luke" I tell him as I hug him
"Thanks lia" he says with a smile I look at him and say "no thank you since you winning I just made $20 buck from Bevin"
"You bet on him?" Haley asked and I smirked "I knew he was gonna win" I tell her
