This is Chester. He is a Great Horned Owl. His story is that he was found hanging by his elbow from barbed wire fence for 2 days. In the process of hanging there he poked his eye. They sowed the eye shut hoping for it to heal but when they opened it up it had scared over. He is 14 years old and has been with us since he was 1. He cannot be released because the feathers on his elbow where he was hanging don't grow in straight and he can't fly silently.
