"Did you get out the bed today."
"Yes."
"Are you lying to me."
"Naw, ask her." he pointed behind me.
"Ask me what."
I glanced at Harper. "Did he get out the bed today."
"Oh yeah, he walked to the end of the hall and back."
I smacked my lips. "What happened to around the hospital."
"This place big as fuck." he frowned. "There was no way I was making it around here."
"Babe.." I called out in a sigh. "That was the deal."
"See." Harper intervened. "I said the samething."
He jumped at her. "Shut up."
Standing I bent down to his ear. "You better act right or you'll never see between these legs again."
Smacking his lips he grabbed my arm. "Come on man." I laughed out. "We going around this hospital once."
"I'll be here." Harper spoke as we headed to the door.
We walked slowly down the hall hand in hand.
"I was surprised when I woke up to Harper on the couch."
"Is that right."
"Hell yeah, I thought her ass snuck in or something."
I chuckled. "It's only because I had everybody working and didn't want you alone and not be in the bed all day."
I actually trust Harper now since we've hung out together one on one.
"You could've just dropped my babies off, they'd have my ass out the bed for sure."
"You right but I didn't want you to stress."
"That's good stress." he spoke in a sigh.
I shrugged slightly as we walked passed the nurses station.
"Well look who's out the bed." said one nurse.
"By force.." he quickly replied.
"You need to exercise instead of laying in the bed the remainder of this week, she's a good wife."
I smiled waving her off. "Thank you."
"You ain't all that." he mumbled.
"Right okay, says the one that chased this ass for how long." I cupped my ear. "After we broke up you were still chasing this ass, correct or incorrect."
Releasing my hand he pushed me towards a cart making me die laughing out.
"You a ass for that."
"You acting like you weren't chasing a nigga too."
I waved him off. "You were right on my ass Carty, wasn't no point."
"Whatever Jay, gone head and feel yo self baby, you cute or whatever."
"I have every reason to feel myself love, my life is great right now."
That was the truth cause even though my big brother is gone I know he gone always be here with me no matter what.
My kids are healthy, alive and well along with my team and my man was next to me alive getting healthy. God is almighty I tell ya.
"What you smiling about."
"I'm happy." I replied simply.
"Yeah." he asked squeezing my hand.
I nodded. "Mhm but thea' is so much going on right now."
