"What the hell kinda shit is going through his head that makes him think he can just walk up to you like that? Oh, is he lucky I don't strangle his ass!" "Can you not do your whole 'cuss-like-a-sailor thing' please? Calm down just a little, Alana." I asked as calmly as I can, she gets so riled up about him. After all, it happened to her too. After everything she's the only one who stayed with me through it. "He can't do this. I won't let him" she said calm but clearly still angry, "But he didn't do anything yet." I said trying to reason with her, but when she's this mad there's no reasoning to be done. Suddenly, there's a knock at the door, Alana's gaze goes straight to the door. I jump up and look through the peephole. 'Oh no' I think to myself. I open the door hiding what's behind it as I go outside. "Hey" says Liam with a sad look on his face, it sickens me him pretending that he actually has feelings, "What do you want?" I said obviously wanting him to leave and go back to whatever hell hole he crawled out of. "I come in peace. I never apologized, I'm sorry." I wanted to forgive him but not now, not today. "Ok. Is that it? Are you done? Can you leave now?" I cross my arms waiting for Alana to come out, jump on his back and strangle him until I end up having to hide his body somewhere. "Yeah, right, I'm sorry anyway. Even if you don't forgive me. Tell Alana I'm sorry too." Yeah, I'm not doing that. If she knew it was him at the door, I think the neighbors would call the cops because of gunshots. "Yeah, cool, can you leave?" I ask the question with a glare that says 'leave or die'. He takes a step off the porch and turns to me, "You know, as much as you don't wanna believe it I loved her too. She meant a lot to me." "Yeah, You had a real nice way of showing it. Leave my house before I get Alana out here and trust me, neither of us want that." He walks back to his house and I watch him open the door and go in. I let out a huge sigh of relief and walk back inside, in front of me stands Alana at the angriest I've ever seen her. This is worse than the time those jerks from Eastside called her an over sized midget, which is very untrue she's beautifully short in her own way (that doesn't make sense but let's just go with it) "Ok, it's decided...I'm gonna kill him." She says as she gets closer to the door. I jump in front of her and yell "NO DONT KILL HIM PLEASE I DONT WANNA HIDE A BODY!" She looks at me confused, but keeps going. She pushes me aways from the door and I grab hold of her. Her feet come off the ground as she kicks as hard as she can to get loose. All of a sudden the door opens. It's Liam. I get light headed and drop Alana back to the floor. After she's done being shocked at what just walked through the door, Alana runs to Liam and starts punching him in the legs. It's almost funny yet, still concerning. I quickly grab Alana again and stick myself between the both of them. I hold my hands out and say "No Alana, ok? No. He may be a terrible person but he doesn't deserve to die!" She hesitates and gives me and him both a glare. She walks backwards to the couch refusing to turn her back to him and sits down obviously angry at me for not letting her kill him. I look him dead in the eyes, "You should go." I said still not knowing why he came in and right now not caring. He opens the door, stopping right before leaving, he looks at me. He has tears in his eyes. I almost feel bad for him. Almost. His gaze shifts between me and Alana continuously, and finally, he looks at me and leaves. Tears start to fill my eyes remembering what happened. A tear or two falls
down my face and Alana rushes towards me. She hugs me, and we cry together.
The next day my eyes are still puffy from last night, so are Alana's. She ended up staying the night last night, she wasn't leaving this house unsupervised. "Do you still have those clothes that are way too small for you that I can wear?" "Yeah it's in the closet." She goes to the closet and gets the bag of my old clothes, before walking away something catches her eye and she stops. "You still have it?" She picks up an old cork board with pictures and fabric stuck in it. The pictures are of a tall, dark haired girl with a hoodie that has the name "Grace" scrawled across it. Tears come back and look away, "Yeah, I thought it would be a nice keepsake." She hugs me again, we're both trying not to cry. "We have to get ready for school" I say wiping away a tear and walking to the bathroom to get ready Alana changes, then we switch and walk to school.
