Chapter2- Start of mystery

California,US..Global Secret Security Organization (GSSO)

With a knock on the door, he came in saying "Sir,did u ask me to come?"with his keen dark eyes looking at the chief officer who was working hard amidst the piles of files .

"Yes,Drake!"the chief replied in a calm way which made him feel like running out of the room as soon as possible since he had estimated that some kind of serious mission was coming its way to him!

"Well,Sir,anything?"

"Drake,you're the best agent here.You have served your best for this world.Actually,i'm to give you a new mission.but i think u wouldn't have any idea what i'm gonna tell u now.Well,let me ask first!Do u believe in other mysterious realms? Like those unseen and unknown?"

"You mean like the spiritual world and the legendary beings,Sir?"

"You've got the point. Good boy! I got instructions from the above saying so that we need someone qualified enough to find out the mystery.

We have known that a mythical being will come across the borderline of our realm and the lower. But we still haven't found out how it looks like and when it will come.So here's your mission. You have to investigate secretly on that matter.But remember, we won't be giving u any support"

"Yes,Sir!" he replied ,already anticipating to find out more about the being;feeling partially thankful to it for letting him have something to investigate on.

Elsie said good bye to her mother,wiping out the tears from her cheek with her gentle hands.She said"Everything will be okay. I will call u as soon as i got there" in a sweet innocent voice that those who heard would melt for it on the spot.

The back view of her daughter saddened Maria.Elsie was the only reason she was staying strong.Without her,she wouldn't be able to survive.If it wasn't for her education,she wouldn't let her go.She would just make her stay by her side till she closes her eyes.

Elsie got off the plane.. with her steps slower than ever. She felt somehow stange to breathe the air in..she felt like she wouldn't be able to stand there alone without her mom.

With the arrangement of her government,she got to the apartment where she would be staying the whole academic year. It turned out to be a nice one for her.For other people,it wouldn't seem to be wide enough but for her,it was acceptable to stay alone since that she and her mom lived had been much smaller and less spacious.She felt thankful to the government.A smile flickered across her face,looking so graceful...

She wandered around her newly got-in place..and found a bedroom,which seemed comfortable enough,a kitchen,a bathroom, so and so...but what grabbed her attention and amazement was an old pendulum clock which she never had imagined to be there in the apartment.

"Tick..Tock..Tick..Tock"drumming sound coming from the clock attracted her too much that she couldn't help but stared at it for a while.As soon as she regained her common sense back,it totally shievered her down her spine. Then she remembered to make a call to her mother.

She heard that someone picked the phone up and so she said "Hello.Mother??" The recipent made no sound.But she could hear the sound of her breathing in and out."MOM??"she asked again,her heart pounded so much worrying what was happening to her mother!

The breathing sound and the tick-tock from the old pendulum clock were driving her crazy. She asked "Who is it?" Then a voice so familier to her appeared "It's Elsie Blue speaking".......
