Chapter Four

One week later:

Krist came to the university for the orientation or hazing as they call it and soon after followed what the seniors told him and the rest of the freshmen to do.

Krist saw Singto from afar but manage to hide himself until Singto saw him

"Au nong. You're here? I thought you said you didn't received any answers yet?" Singto said with a big smile on his face

Krist just rubbed the back of his neck and answered "I wanted to make it a surprise Phee"

Singto then smiled and said "Well you sure surprised me, Kit" Singto then rubbed Krist's hair and then look around saw the look of the seniors and freshmen around them "Now go and follow your friends. Remember I won't easy on you KIt"

Krist just smile mischievously and answered "I will try my best to get your attention phee" he winked and Singto just shake his head and soon left Krist.

Soon the hazing went by and Krist as promised gain attention from not only Singto but the third year seniors as well.

They find it amusing and to find the cool-headed Singto Prachaya Rungroj to lose his temper to a mere kid who does his best to break every single rule.

Singto keep on losing his temper when his nong kept on pushing his buttons.

The seniors laugh at him and Krist often been given praises by the seniors which made Singto more angry at him.

Until one day they were in their faculty cafeteria doing their assignment while having lunch when Krist ask the question again

"Phee can I ask you a question" Krist ask

Singto look up from his papers and look at the younger

"Sure" he answered

Krist gulped the saliva that's been stuck in his throat for awhile now

"P what do you think about friend being in love?" Krist ask

"Think it's possible. Why?" Singto answered

Krist then thought it's now or never

"I love you phee" Krist confessed and it took Singto a short minute to process what has been said

"What?" Singto ask

Krist felt hurt by his tone but try again. "I am in love with you phee"

"Stop joking Kit. Me being in love with a guy it's impossible" Singto said jokingly

Krist felt his heart broke into a million pieces that moment and he knew it was finally over.

"Yeah you're right phee" Krist said then he got up grabbed his things and soon was about to leave when Singto ask

"Where are you going Kit?" Singto ask and Krist turned around avoiding the older man from seeing his face

"I got things to do now phee. Bye phee" he soon ran off to the men's room and inside one of the stall he cried his heart out wiping his tears

He stayed in the men's room for hours till the day comes to an end and he walked back to his dorm room.

He lay in bed and look at the bedside table where there was a picture of both of them a long time ago.

He cried one last time and fell into a disturbed sleep.

Soon he doesn't come to class and attend the hazing events making his friends and seniors sorry especially one senior in particular.

Singto looked for Krist everywhere even at his dorm room and the warden told him that Krist left home for a about three days now.

That made Singto worry. So over the weekend he rushed home and went to greet his parents and rushed out and went to Krist's house.

He came in and Krist's mom opened the door "oh nong Singto what a lovely surprise. Why are you here?"

Singto just smiled and answered "I'm looking for Kit is he in Mae?"

Krist's Mae then said "yes, but he looks sad. Go to his room then and try to cheer him up"

Singto just smiled and nodded and soon climbed up the flight of stairs leading him to Krist's bedroom.

He knocked once and heard nothing. Then he knock once again. Still nothing. He continues to knock until Krist opened the door and saw the one person he doesn't want to see

"Krist" Singto began to say

"Why are you here phee? To laugh at me again?" Krist said. He let his eyes remain on the ground not having any eye contact with Singto

"Why have you been attending classes and the hazing?" Singto ask "and what does that suppose to mean?"

Krist rolled his eyes and said "go home phee. I don't want to see ever again" Krist closed the door but before he could he heard a yelp coming from outside and his eyes widen when he saw Singto's arm became red because of his childish actions.

He ignored his phee and closed the door locking it again put on his earphones and put the music on high volume ignoring the constant knocks from Singto calling out his name and soon it became quiet. Too quiet.

He got out of bed and went to listen to the door then the door flung open revealing Singto smiling at him.

"Thought I would leave so easily. You are wrong Kit" Singto said and that made Krist roll his eyes. He pushed Singto off of him and was about to leave the room when Singto pulled him back to the bed trapping him.

Krist has had enough. He slapped Singto making the older to let him go and Krist said in a cold voice "get out of my room, get out of my house. I never want to see you ever again khun Singto. Never again"

Singto felt a piercing pain not from his hand but from his heart.
He knew denying his feelings was always the easy way out but this was his childhood best friend and it's a guy.

Society nowadays still don't accept homosexual relationships. They were frowned upon in every single religion which was quite sad.

He knew what he said that day was his own fault but he has his own reasons why.

"Kit listen to me" Singto try to reason with him

Krist just glared and with gritted teeth he said "Get out"

Singto was defeated. He knew Krist will never forgive him now. Never ever.

He went home dejected and unsure of what else to do. He laid in bed thinking of what will happen if he didn't reject Krist. What will change?

This was all in his mind until he fell asleep having a nightmare that haunts him forever. He knew he had to make it right and hopefully Krist will forgive him.
