Okay I think you guys deserve an explanation. So a lot of people have been messaging me and asking why I haven't been updating this book. To be honest I've already written the next few chapters and I was going to post them a month ago, but something was bothering me. I realized that it was because I really want this book to be realistic to the heroes of Olympus and Harry Potter true characters. But I think after all the books I've read by the fandom Ive forgotten their real personalities and I think sorting all of them into the houses made me realize I needed to take a step back before continuing.

I haven't been updating not because I have writers block, it's because 1, I'm in high school and do sports and have a social life, and 2, because I decided to re read part of the actual series to capture the character traits and personality better. I'm currently on Son of Neptune and will probably stop at the end of Mark of Athena. It's just been so long and I need my own idea of the characters, not what other people have written on Wattpad.

For example I've noticed how a lot of people in stories like this have written Percy off as just a goofy sarcastic kid who doesn't know what's going on and needs Annabeth to scold him every two seconds. Although those traits are both part of their personalities there are much more to them. I really had to get into Percy's head to figure out what house he could go in. A few people thought Hufflepuff because his fatal flaw was loyalty, but after reading the books again, I've realized how he definitely isn't a nicest person to everyone, and would sacrifice everything for his friends, but not anyone who pisses him off, and Hufflepuff has more of a forgiving nature plus at first glance just more of a soft aura if that makes sense. Anyone who's read Percy in any of he books knows how he holds grudges and doesn't forgive Or forget easily. Except when Hera bonked all the memories out of him and gave him amnesia lol.

I also really considered Slytherin, for a few reasons, mainly because of how powerful he is and how most people can easily forget that. He's underestimated and is persistent, Sly, and a rule breaker and doesn't really care about authority because he's self confident enough from experiences and his own abilities he possesses. He can also be very independent, wanting to solve problems on his own, even if his friends care about him too much and don't let that happen.

So you can see how there's a lot more to these characters that meet the eye, and how none of them should be instantly sorted into Gryffindor because they are Brave.

Look at all of that character analysis I've written for Percy, because he's such a popular character and had his own series that I read a million times as a kid. I want to be able to look at all of the characters in heroes of Olympus that way, especially Frank and Leo, who I feel are more underrated which bothers me sooooo much cuz I love them. Like I know that Leo is a friggen genius and should've been sorted into Ravenclaw, but I wanted him to be happy so I tossed him in Slytherin where his wittiness can flourish. XD. Anyways I want to capture them all how you guys remember reading them on the fricken blessed pages that Uncle Rick gave us. Don't worry though, I read fast and instead of watching Netflix in my spare time, I've been reading the books, it won't be long until I finish Mark of Athena.

Anyways there's the explanation wether you asked for it or not. :) still love you guys and stay tuned for the next chapter, hopefully coming soon. Please don't give up on this book, cuz I haven't yet.
