I liked the beach. The sand.
Okay no I hate the sand. It gets everywhere.
You wear a swimsuit and sit down and as soon as you take it off there's sand all inside it and all over you.Its like the most annoying thing.
I mean it's not my fault I live near the beach.
But it's still nice sometimes. The sand was dry - like sand - but less powdery and more solid.
It felt like a mattress; soft and warm beneath me.The sun was setting, the bright orange light glinting off the ocean, but the sand, the water, everything was still warm.
I ran my hand along my thigh, almost entierly smooth skin meeting it.
I hadn't shaved just to come to the beach, that would be really cliché, I'd done it yesterday and this was just a benefit.
Smooth skin was nice, just to feel. Just....nice.Don't get me wrong I like girls with body hair, it was just a personal preference for my own smoothness.
My swimsuit wasn't much in the way of style; just a skintight light blue one-piece that clung to my not-particularly-beach-worthy body.
Confidence was a big problem for me but none of that mattered right now because I was alone.
Only the gentle swooshing of the waves accompanied the silence.
My toes just touched where the water came up to, letting me feel their slight coolness.
It was calm.
Quiet.
Peaceful.
I felt something brush against my leg.
It felt really smooth, but moist, moving over my skin with barely any friction.I pulled my leg back fast, looking down.
This was going to be one of those tentacle things wasn't it. I mean I was all for those, but most of them were rather violent? They were like a merperson, but leaning more towards Ursula from the little mermaid. They stayed almost fully submerged; their head and shoulders just peeking out from the water, along with one or two tentacles curling lazily in the air.
They seemed entierly smooth, like a bluey-green octopus but one who'd waxed. Instead of hair they had a mass of smaller, non-suckered tentacle like things which vaguely reminded me of a gorgon, and in the middle of their face was one large, green shimmery eye.
Their nose was small and cute and their lips seemed almost normal except for being blue."Uh..."I began,"Hi?"
"Hi,"They replied brightly, their voice quite high in tone.I relaxed into a hugging knees position, extremely aware of how exposed I was if this did turn into a tentacle thing.
"What are you doing on the beach?"I asked after a few more moments of silence.
"I could ask you the same thing,"they responded sarcastically, the flesh above their eye creasing slightly like a frown,"But nobody owns this beach so we're both allowed."
"True..."I replied. Her eye was beautiful, reflecting the glint of yellow from the sunset right at me but softly, like a pillow as an eye? That didn't make sense did it.
I looked into the water, trying to see more of her.
But the small waves obscured most of the rest of their body.
I could just make out the curves of them and what looked like boobs?Another reminder of how gay I was, as I felt myself heat up under their gaze.
"No offence,"I began, sitting forwards,"but who-what are you? I've never seen anyone like you before, I mean except in like cartoons and my imagination, but-"
I was rambling.
Oh god no I was about to embarrass myself in front of another girl. Were they a girl? She looked like one but that wasn't any indication?"You would not believe how many of you I've had to explain this to,"She remarked, looking away a bit,"I'm one of the mermaids that inhabit the waters around here, like a tribe or a city."
"Just the waters around here?"I questioned eagerly,"So like there are more who inhabit other parts of the ocean?"
She looked at me incredulously,"Of course."I felt very self conscious of how turned on I was at this point, but I wasn't sure this was going how I expected initially.
I felt a wet sensation slowly start to spread out-
If I was in the water this would be a lot less visible.I dropped my legs making an effort to conceal everything but trying to be inconspicuous at the same time.
She glanced down as I did, smirking.
I felt my face heat up even more, and I looked away slightly, trying to hide behind my hair."You asked me why I'm here,"She started,"I'm here for research."
"Research?"I asked quietly. She looped a long tentacle around my foot gently and I relaxed into the sensation.
It was smooth and gentle and I just-"Research on... You,"She crooned this was pretty much all I wanted right now.. just her,"Well you know not you specifically, at least not necessarily, but our understanding of humans as a whole is quite limited. Why are you oozing..?"
I looked down again and there was a very visible patch of wetness there.
"Itsnothingdontworry,"I replied hurriedly, standing and looking around.
The beach was still clear and it was still just me and her.
She grinned.
"Oh I know full well what you're doing,"She informed me,"I've done it too."
I wasn't sure it was possible but face seemed to grow even hotter.
"What's your name?"She asked, dulling her tone to something more gentle.
"Amelia,"I replied with a bit more strength than before. She seemed nice and I kind of wanted to get to know her more.
"Amelia,"She repeated,"Like a name in a fairy tale..."She moved up higher on the beach, revealing more of herself.
They were boobs, but they were lacking nipples. They looked round and smooth and squishy and I wanted her to touch me with them.
She stopped when the water was around her waist, showing her sleek arms.
She extended one to me.
"I'm Kaya,"She stated,"And if you want to learn more about us then I have to learn more about you. Come with me."
"But I can't breathe underwater,"I protested.
"Swallow this,"She procured a small capsule,"It will let your lungs temporarily adapt to absorb oxygen from the water."
Did those words have meanings?
Because if so I'd forgotten.
"How long is temporarily?"I continued.
"About the next ten human years of your life."But I still hesitated.
I'd just met Kaya, but she'd already got me wet.
"And if you want me to fuck you,"She added, smiling.
I swallowed the capsule and took her hand eagerly.
