"I'm fine don't worry!" My name's Pearl, I moved to Atlanta from New York around a week ago and nearly collided with a bus during the first five minutes of me arriving at my new school North Shore High. I smiled at waved at my overbearing mother before bumping into another student and stumbling inside those large light coloured oak doors.

I gave my timetable a quick glance, my first lesson was maths. I instinctively asked the nearest teacher for directions and went on my merry way, I found a door that said 'Maths 1, Ms Norbury.' I walked inside and looked for a seat, two students, in particular, were studying me like that of bacteria under a microscope.

They were both bald and one had thick black eyeliner on and a Contact Shirt paired with ripped skinny jeans and black converse. I could see what seemed to be tiny earrings with little plastic baby hands piercing his ears. The other wore a blue cowboy style top with white fringe and little flowers on the collar along with a pair of dark blue jeans and white cowboy boots, If you looked

at them from afar you'd think they were twins.

I was about to take a seat when Contact shirt finally spoke "Don't sit there, Jodie's boyfriend usually sits there." His voice was deep and sounded like he had just woken up, he also had a slight Boston accent.

As soon as he said that a girl's boyfriend sat in the seat in front of her before she pulled him in for a weird slobbery kiss. I gagged and the two boys giggled in unison.

I moved onto the next seat, which was a seat behind a large, tubby boy. He then spoke up again

"Don't sit there unless you want chicken bones flying at you." That remark got a frown from the boy and a few tears welled up in his eyes.

The teacher fumbled in with a doughnut and some coffee. Being the klutz I am I bumped into her, causing her to spill the hot coffee on the floor and the delectable food to fall out of her hand and everyone to burst into a fit of laughter.

Oh shit, I'm sorry!" I bent down to help her pick up the coffee cup and food before going to get a paper towel. I was aware I swore in front of a teacher and I honestly couldn't care less.

"It's fine...Actually, while you're up here let me introduce to the class." she adjusted her glasses and tucked her wavy brown hair behind her ear before speaking.

"Everyone, This is Pearl Liaison. She moved here from New York. Welcome!" She must have mistaken me for someone else because she was looking at some guy with dark hair and a similar facial structure.

"I'm from Kentucky." His voice was sultry and incredibly eloquent. I didn't bother to correct the woman and took a seat next to the two guys with the egg like heads that I saw earlier. The country bumpkin styled one reached out for my bleach blonde hair and put it on his head.

"See this is the kinda colour I want." He sounded happy, filled with life and hopeful. I just gave him a dirty look and squinted my eyes.

"I'm sorry about my friend! My name's Katya, that one right there is Trixie she's too gay to function." He smiled at me and I just smiled back, trying to be polite."Sup, I'm Pearl, Nice to meet you."
