Cleo Vs The World

Chapter 2

" BEEP!" The alarm clock rang. Cleo looked up sleepily, she checked the time. 11:59. She jumped out of her bed. She zipped up her jacket and then put on the bag. She ran out in the hallway. Pup was already there, '' Go, go go! C'mon let's go!" Cleo darted after her younger sister, the heavy bag slowing her down a little. Before she knew it she was in the living room. Ella Bella and Cody were there with a sad look in their eyes. " Okay Cleo. Okay Pup. We're going to miss you very badly. Okay? But before you leave you have to make a-" yapped Cody sadly. " A what?" barked Cleo, " A promise." they all woofed in harmony. " What is it?" Pup barked " We don't have time for this, so make it snappy!"

" Okay." they whined ''You just have to come back if you aren't going to be able to handle it." " Of course we will! " Cleo said, giving them each a lick on the shoulder. " Now come on!" They ran out to the driveway. Bella and Cody immediately started entertaining the other night guards and the Queen. Ella ran over to the gate guards and started entertaining them, while leading them to where the Queen was.

Cleo and Pup on the other hand, were a pawstep away from getting outside the palace. Now they darted out without anyone seeing them. Ella, Bella and Cody looked away for a brief second, with a sad glance in their eyes. Cleo and Pup returned it. Then they darted away.

" Do you have a phone?" asked Pup " Yes I also have the charger and £10,000. In case we need to get on our feet again." answered Cleo. " Why that much money? Questioned Pup. " We might be out here forever, Y'know." replied Cleo. " Where are we going?" pestered Pup. " We're going to a cave somewhere in Ireland. We will take a boat." Cleo replied.Pup stopped asking questions. They continued down the road. They turned to a halt in front of a ferry terminal. " There it is!" Cleo yapped joyfully. " WHAT?" yowled Pup, surprised" We can get out of England now!" " Yes, but the ferry leaves in 5 minutes." Cmon!" Pup scurried after her sister.somehow they managed to slip on the cruise without anyone noticing. They had a pretty good journey, of course if Ella, Bella and Cody were here then they would be sitting in actual beds also being hand fed. Cleo enjoyed none of this, neither did Pup. But they had to. Because they were ROYALS of course. UGGGGGGGGGGGH! It was annoying! But everything was changing...

" Splash!" The cruise skimmed to a sudden stop. " This is your destination, Galway, Ireland, said a smooth female voice. Hope you had a nice cruise, now please get off the boat. Thank you for using the Queens cruise boat trips. Hope you have a good day!" Cleo came prepared, she packed five minutes earlier. They both hurried off the boat. Now there was almost no chance of going back. " Now what?" Pup whined. " We walk." Cleo barked irritably. They walked for a long time, but they went sightseeing too. They went to the Dunguaire Castle, Galway Museum, St. Nicholas Church and Eyre square. They were all amazing! After that they walked on passing through Spiddal, Barna, Moycullen and Claregalway until they finally found a cave. It was very good piece of luck. The cave was warm ,sheltered and unoccupied as far as they could see. Cleo unpacked their bag as Pup nestled into the bed" Ahhhhh! We can stay here forever." Yes we can" answered Cleo. Night had fallen and it was very cold outside and Cleo and Pup were in bed even though it was 5:30! At 4:00 they had a good dinner. When Cleo just started to feel sleepy, a deep male voice called out" Who dares to enter Ruby's cave?"

( By the way Spiddal, Barna, Moycullen and Claregalway are all cities around Galway. Galway is a city in Ireland.)

Cleo and Pup jumped out of bed. Pup started shivering even though it was very warm in the cave. It was not because it was cold. She was scared. The voice repeated itself." Who dares to enter!:" Cleo replied " I am Cleo the wolf of the Lord." She didn't know what she was saying but it seemed to work. The voice cowered away for a bit. Then the most extraordinary thing happened. A chorus of voices joined one, to this kind of tune. " Ahhhhh! This is our wonderful, amazing leader. She is so strong and fierce and as fast as the speed of light. This is our Leader! Rubella!" Now it was midnight and this... Creature was bathed in the moonlight. It had light grey fur, amazingly small horns, bat wings, blood red eyes and a set of razor sharp claws. Pup said" What are you? You look like an mutant bat!" Rubella snarled " Stupid Pup! No, no, no I am a devil. You are very stupid and dumb." Pup was stunned and Cleo who was livid at the devil, felt this strength take over her. She felt stronger when she opened her eyes to look at everyone, they stared back at her. Pup whispered to her '' Cleo I can't believe this but you have super powers."
