Chapter 5-
"First things first you're not gonna win over any guy in that abomination of a dress you're wearing." Yeji says as I respond "Why would you put me in it if you knew it was atrocious?!" "Hey, it's my special day so that means I get to be the most beautiful one here on my special day okay? I happen to think that's pretty understandable, you'd wear a black trash bag and make it look like couture y/n. Anyways I might have something for you in this little closet, I had to take all my stuff with me because we're flying back home soon but I bought this dress at the wedding dress store because it was just so beautiful, i thought I'd wear it to a gala or something... I don't know, I just treated myself okay?!" "Just show me the dress Yeji" , she goes to the wardrobe and pulls out this gorgeous rose gold glittered gown that twinkled almost as bright as the stars in a bright night sky.
"It's absolutely stunning... are you sure it's okay if I wear it?" "Yeah of course it is, you wanna win this guys heart right? This is step one in doing that." I look at her and smile as I admire the dress she'd handed to me, I change behind the white folding screen and as soon as I come out Yeji eyes widen, "it's looks better on you than it ever did on me", she holds both my arms and says "keep it. Think of it as my wedding gift to you." "Thank you Yeji." I say as I hug her, "I take it you're staying here with him then?" I nod my head "I don't really see another option." "Lets go then."
She smiles and leads me back out to the front of the church, I look for Jin but I can't seem to find him, I text him where did you go and he replies we went on to the reception, 'can your sister take you here?' He texts 'Yeah I'm sure she can, I'll be there soon.' You arrive at the beautiful venue, a rented room at ceasars palace with dazzling chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, gold and cream was the colour scheme and it looked like a royal wedding, nothing but the best for Yeji of course.
We sat at the main table with all the wedding party and ate our meal together, Jin stayed pretty quiet and he kept checking his phone every five minutes which kind of sparked my interest a little, maybe he was texting someone, a special someone, and for some reason I didn't like that, not one bit. After the meal and the speeches Yeji and her husband San stand up and make their way to the dance floor together to have their very first dance as a married couple. A beautiful love song begins to play and he pulls her in lovingly towards him as she rests her chin on his shoulder, then they sway along to the beat of the music.
I sit there with my elbow on the table and my chin resting on my hand with a glass of red wine in the other, I watch them as I try to think of ways to get Jin to talk to me, my head jolts up as an idea leaps into my mind, I stand up and Jin looks at me as I extend my hand out to him and tilt my head, he looks at me for a second but without a word being exchanged he takes my hand and I lead him to the dance floor as couples begin to join them both midway through the song. We begin to slow dance and I must admit that the guy could actually dance well, it made me wonder if he'd done this before. He supports my back as I lean back my head and come back up towards him, our eyes meet for the first time and I smile at him, we continue the dance and I decide to start a conversation "You know, if you think about it, this is kinda like our first dance as a married couple too.." he laughs a little exposing his perfect set of pearly white teeth, "Yeah, I guess you could say that.." he pauses "why are you being so nice all of a sudden?" I smile and say "I don't know, weddings must make me like this..love and laughter and all you know?"
He nods his head and we continue to dance so that's when I decided to drop my proposition on him "what if we didn't get divorced right away?" He stops dancing for a moment as he lets out a chuckle and says "you're drunk.." he tries to continue but this time I stop too "I'm serious. Why stop now when we havent even tried? It would be a waste of a marriage and I don't know, I guess I wanted to be the type of girl that only got married once. Don't you want to give it a shot? You had to have found me likeable enough the night we met to marry me right? Don't you wanna at least try? What's the worst that can happen?" He thinks about it in silence for a while and then he says "you know what...I think this could actually possibly work. Maybe we should try. I know for sure I'm not a quitter so, let's do it. But on one condition." "What?" I reply and then he says "My personal and business life are two very different things y/n. I'm a CEO of an international corporation but I also do things on the side that you don't know about, and let's just say I wanna keep it that way. If we agree to do this, you have to agree to keep our private life private, and you can't question my business encounters, is that alright with you?"Of course I have to admit it sparked my curiosity, but I needed that money, not just for me but for my family, so I said "Yes. It's a deal Seokjin." He grabs my waist and pulls me in towards him
"Well then Mrs Kim, welcome to married life."
