"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

-

It felt like hell.

I sat up, leaning against my elbows. Suddenly I saw a dark figure. Feeling a sudden tug at my arm. I spun around looking for the culprit, but to my dismay, saw nothing but fire.

I felt my heart race- and began thinking- was I dead?

My body ached.. Especially my upper thighs. Before I knew it, something latched onto my arm, firmly gripping my wrist. I struggled yet again, and my memories rushed into my head. The burning, stinging, scorching, fire-like heat spread from my arm to my whole body.

My eyesight cleared from its cloudy state immediately. I looked down on my melting skin, reading the number 0 with perfectly scorched edges.

As I comprehended what I was witnessing, the adrenaline that rushed through my veins faded; I began to feel how much the wound stung.

"Ah-tsss.... mmm" I moan and groan, not being able to control the questionable sounds that escaped my mouth. As soon as I began to moan, I began to whimper, laying myself back down the pitch black cobblestone that lay beneath me, not caring how hot it felt on my bare back. Rolling, I whined, sobbing.

"Mfphhhh.." It had been what seemed like hours, and I was yet, still letting out pathetic stifled cries.

I gripped my throbbing arm, determined to investigate where I had laid for such a long period of time.

As I stumbled on the hard floor, I looked around, unsure of what I was seeing.

"If this is hell.. where is-" I was abruptly interrupted from talking to myself, feeling a warm hand glide on my shoulder.

"Huh..?" I turn to see a large man "Holy shit, you're quite the unit, huh?" I joke, patting his shoulder, although I did have to jump in order to reach that far up.

"Follow me." He demands- no, he comands, and I didn't have a problem following him. Although, I was behind a few steps as I stopped every now and then to look at the tall stone buildings and steaming piles of very much alive bodies.

After walking for quite a while, the buildings slowly began to disappear and we inched closer to the only building left. We trekked along the path to the beautiful, yet terrifying palace that sit still and peaceful despite the ever so hostile environment.

The large man stopped in front of the door, bowing before stepping back and waving his arm before me, as if introducing me to the door.

I opened my mouth to say something but the doors swung open. I jumped and let out a yelp, startled. The big man grunted, as if telling me to step in- and so I did.

As my foot touched the cold ground, I was unsure what I was standing on, it was a completely foreign feeling. I awkwardly waddle around, admiring the fortress- or castle.

"Mm.. Hello?" I struggled to let out my words at first, and when they did, they echoed throughout the halls. My face became hot and my heart raced, why do I feel so anxious and embarrassed?

Anyways, there was no answer.

I was alone.

I do a double take of my surroundings and finally decide to sit down. I tapped on the floor, wondering if it was marble, or glass, or maybe even wood.

After what seemed to be a long period of time, I decided to venture throughout the mysterious place I had been residing in for so long. I took off with a skip, and trotted through the long corridors quickly, wanting to explore every crevice there in god knows how much time I had.

I jumped on sofas, tumbled on luxurious carpets, and hopped onto the fluffiest beds I had ever felt, sinking into them. If this was Hell, I couldn't even imagine Heaven.

While exploring, I swung past something peculiar, something I felt like I hadn't seen in ages. I reversed my tracks and stared into the mirror.

I was young again.
