Ice Cream With Romeo

I got my leggings on and my sneakers but I couldn't find my shirt so I texted Derek

Me- I cant go I don't have a shirt
Romeo- hold on

Someone came in and I looked and it was Laura "here Derek said you didn't have a shirt" "is this his?" She nodded and I took the sweatshirt and put it on "ok let's go" I walked out and Derek put his arm over my should and I said "thanks for the sweatshirt I'll give it to you tomorrow" he said "nah you keep it, it looks better on you" I blushed and looked down apparently Laura and my brother have a thing and he's coming to 'Yay' but anyways Jason Laura Cora Derek and I get in the back of the SUV while peter and Talia get in the front (obviously) I was sitting in the back with Cora and Derek, in the middle was Jason and Laura.

We got to the ice cream shop and the man said "What can I get for you?" Cora spoke first "Can I get the Candy Cream" he nodded then spoke Peter "I'll get a Melty Mango" then Talia since the four teenagers were thinking "Perfect pear please" then Laura "birthday cake with soft served ice cream" then Derek "vanilla soft served dipped in chocolate with gram crackers and marshmallows" then Jason "vanilla soft served with Oreo crumbles" then it was me "Vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles and cotton candy" Jason and Derek's eyes widened and Laura laughed we (Jason and I) tried to pay for ours but Talia wouldn't let Jason and I pay.

We all got our ice creams and I took a picture of Jace, Derek's, Laura's, and mine ice cream and we began eating it while I posted the picture on Instagram

I looked up from my phone "you guys are gross" they laughed and I looked at Derek I finished my ice cream 5 minutes after the picture "Hey Romeo you have something on your face I'll hold your ice cream so you can get it off" "ok just don't eat it" "I won't geez Louise" he looked at me questioning if he should but he ended up giving in once he gave it to me and went to get a napkin I ate some it was ok mine was better he turned back around and I stopped eating it he came over "Hey you ate it!" "Did not" "Juliette it's all over your face" "your seeing things" he used the napkin and wiped off all the ice cream on my face "Hey! I was saving that for later!" Laura snorted Jason rolled his eyes and Derek looked at me with admiration and I smiled then Jason got a text I looked at him and he got a worried look on his face he came over to me and showed me the text from our mother 'WHRE THE HEL AR YOU TWA GAT HIME NEW!' She hasn't been home in the last week and the way she's typing she's drunk the only reason Jason's worried is because she yells what he doesn't know is she beats me whenever she's drunk Derek asked "is everything okay?" "Yeah we just got to get home see you Monday nice game" "yeah you too by Julie" "bye Romeo thank you Talia" "no problem sweetie" and Jason and I ran home.

I opened the door quietly and saw mom on the couch sleeping with a vodka bottle in her hand I looked at Jason and we went up the stairs quietly I got in my room and changed into shorts and a tank top my mom came stumbling in my room and she said "where the hell have you been? Sleeping around with guys? You slut" I shook my head she then punched me in the eye and I covered it with my one hand the other on my mouth she then kicked me in my stomach and I fell on the floor and she kept kicking me in the stomach I then went into a fetal position 'why the hell is she always abusing me' she then heard something downstairs and went stumbling out I got up and limped over to the door locking it I then limped into my bathroom and looked in the mirror I had a swollen black eye and I lifted up my shirt to see my stomach was bruised.

That whole weekend I didn't come out to eat or anything and I just woke up for school the swollen went down a little bit so I just put a black sweater shirt blue jeans black and white vans and black sunglasses I grabbed my bag and opened my door slowly and ran downstairs and outside to see Laura thank god I got into her car and she asked "what's wrong?" "Nothing let's just get to school I don't want to be late" she nodded and we left to school.

I got to school and went to class and sat down by Derek "what's wrong?" "Nothing" "why do you have sunglasses on" "suns to bright" "it's cloudy" the teacher started talking so Derek and I couldn't talk.

It was now gym and I had my shorts on and a long sleeved shirt with sunglasses on and we had to run so I was running and I heard Derek Laura and Jason calling my name but I ignored them and then I felt someone grab me by the side and pick me up I winced "let me go" the pain was still there so the person put me down "Julie what's wrong what happened" "Nothing" Laura stepped in "liar Jewels you just winced when Derek picked you up" I tried walking away but Jason moved in front of me then I turned and saw Derek and Laura and I sighed Jason moved my shirt up a little and everyone gasped at the bruising They all looked pissed "this is what you were talking about last week isn't it" I looked down and nodded Derek lifted my head and took off my glasses and Jason said "Why didn't you tell me!" I didn't answer him "she threatened you didn't she" I took my sunglasses back and started running again holding my side I don't want to deal with this.

I got home and ran upstairs locking the door and did my homework I then heard yelling downstairs then someone slammed the door and zoomed out and Someone ran up the stairs "Jewels" it was Jason I opened up the door and hugged him.

After that we ate dinner and fell asleep.
