"Max! Where are you?!" You ran as best you could through the busy street looking for your dog, Max, who had run away a few minutes earlier. This kind of thing wouldn't usually happen as you were a responsible owner, but it was like the larger dog that had scared yours away appeared out of nowhere!
As you hurried along, the search for your lost companion seemed more hopeless by the second. You felt as though you would never be able to see your dog amongst the crowds of people. Your feet were beginning to tire from the chase and you decided to sit on a nearby bench when you started to feel cold spots of water land on your face as you leaned back in your seat, defeated and exhausted. Hot tears started to trickle down your (s/c) face and joined the cold rainwater, which was now steadily falling from the sky. You were too immersed in your own thoughts to notice a tall blonde man walking towards you until he sat next to you on the bench.
"Are you okay? I was just heading back home and I saw you over here looking all sad." Despite the fact that it might have seemed a rude, you didn't look over at the kind stranger, you were too occupied with worrying about your lost canine.
"Not really, my dog was chased away and now he's lost out there somewhere in this awful weather!" You felt the rain increase from a steady pace to a heavy downpour and more salty tears rapidly race down your face as images of your poor, precious little dog scared and alone in the heavy rain entered your mind. "Well miss, I think I can help you out! Is this your dog?"
Looking over at the man sat beside you, you noticed the exact animal you had been searching for sitting peacefully in his lap. "Oh my god, Max! Thank you so much, where did you find him?" You giggled as the puppy barked happily and leaped over to you. "It's no problem, I am the hero after all! The little guy was just wandering along all by himself just a bit further down the street and he looked kinda scared so I picked him up so he wouldn't be alone. Anyway, I'm Alfred, what's your name?" Standing up, you held out your hand to the man who you now knew as Alfred and introdicued yourself. "(f/n), (f/n) (l/n). Well I must get going now, I'm going to catch a cold if I'm out in this damn rain any longer."
Just as you were about to turn and leave, Alfred stopped you by putting a hand on your shoulder and turning you to face him again "It's getting kind of late you know, I can walk you home if you want." As you looked up at the tall American, you smiled and nodded, shyly tucking a loose (h/c) strand of hair behind your ear. The two of you walked next to each other, chatting about your everyday lives and asking questions about each other. When you reached your home, you realised you were actually sad to say goodbye to your new friend.
"Well (f/n), I'm glad I found your dog today, maybe I'll see you around sometime." You were sad to see him leave, but as you watched Alfred walk away, you knew that you would definitely see him again.
