MJ was hurt. She was bleeding from different parts of her body, her forehead, her nose, and especially her waist; the pain in her legs were so severe that she couldn't move, even a little. She has been mugged, by a guy with a knife and a black mask: he had attacked her by surprise, by pushing her in this dark alley and stealing her phone. She was coming home from school when it happened, walking the streets she knew well and wasn't afraid of, because nothing ever happened to her here. Until now.

She was struggling to hold her tears, hoping for someone to pass by, see and help her. She couldn't scream, because every breath was painful, and no one had passed by for the ten minutes she was here. She hated herself so much at this moment, knowing she shouldn't have try to run away, to save herself, to fight back. Her strong personality, once again, had caused her problems.

She was fighting to keep her eyes open, a hand on her bleeding wound. She was cold, so cold, lying in a little pool of blood, her own blood, and she knew that if she'd close her eyes, she'd fall asleep. And she didn't know if she'd wake up after that.

She was almost knocked off, when she heard a little scream. A scream of surprise, with an underlining of fear. She opened her eyes, slowly, just to see Spider-Man's red and black mask in front of her. Even with a mask, the worry in his eyes was visible, but MJ wasn't able to focus on him, to realize she knew him, that she knew well the eyes hiding behind the white cloth. She could only focus on the fact that her saviour was here, and they were about to save her.

When he tried to lift her up, she let a little cry of pain escape, and the eyes frowned in worry about hurting her. He shot a web, holding her close with one arm, while she had hers around the hero's neck. Every move made her whine in pain, every time she made a sound he said he was sorry, and his voice showed that he really was more than sorry. He was worried to death for her.

Peter wasn't in his best form. MJ wasn't that heavy, in fact she was pretty skinny, but holding her with one arm, while carrying his own weight, was kind of using all of his strength, even with his super-power.

Plus, and more importantly, he was worried. Really, really worried. He knew MJ since middle school, even if they really started talking a year ago, after Liz moved out. After a few months having this new friendship, Peter realized that he had a small crush on his best friend. His weird, sassy and sarcastic best friend. Obviously, he talked to Ned about it, who told him to ask her out: and of course, he didn't. He was too worried that he would loose her if he did, that she wouldn't feel the same, that she would laugh and turn him down. And maybe that she'd even not talk to him anymore, and he didn't want that. So, as the school year continued, his feelings for the curly haired girl just grew, and he didn't have a small crush anymore. He was in love. So seeing her like that, in pain, fighting to stay awake, bleeding, made him loose his mind. Instead of swinging to the hospital, the smartest thing to do, he went to the first place that came to his mind : The Avenger Tower. He entered by the window he knew was always open, and ended up in one of the living-room, where Mr. Stark, Captain America and Hawkeye were talking.

As soon as his feet touched the floor, he took off his mask, and started talking really fast, telling to the three super-heroes what happened. At the same time, he laid MJ on a couch, very carefully, worried she'd bleed again.

When he understood what the problem was and why the young boy was so stressful, Tony Stark asked Steve to go get Pepper, and Clint went to get some medicine to help Pepper heal the injured girl, and see if Shuri was available to help them... Just in case. Steve was fast, and Pepper too, so they came really quickly, worry in their eyes. The woman asked Peter to leave as soon as she got everything she needed to heal MJ, but he didn't want to. He wanted to stay with her, to be here when she opens her eyes. Pepper looked at her husband, and the Iron Man pushed Peter through the door, acting as if he didn't hear his complains, then closed it. They were both in the corridor, standing there. Peter was full of worry, and he kept passing his hand through his hair, walking stressfully. Tony was looking at his goings and comings, seeing the worry in the kid's eyes.
