Waking up the next morning to the same pounding headache she had yesterday didn't stop summer for getting in the shower and trying to get herself to feel clean again. She got in letting the water hit her face and back before feeling the most painful sting she ever had as the warm water hit the open cut on the back of her head. she screamed a string of different cuss words and washed her hair as quickly as she could getting out and looking at her cut. She bit down on her shirt and poured rubbing alcohol on it so it wouldn't get infected and got dressed for school the rest of the way.

She walked out the door and down the street to a 7/11 where she got a banana and headed the rest of the way to school.

She sat through all her boring classes not paying any attention and in a daze. she was starting to remember bits and pieces of the night that had her questioning  if she should be more scared than she was. At lunch Christina and Max came to her and bombarded her with questions she didn't have an answer to. she sat there in silence and started crying. She ran out of school and down the street until she felt safe again. she sat on the side of the road with her backpack crying.

She sat there in the rain as people drove and walked past giving her looks she couldn't explain. She was just trying to think of what to do. Summer thought she might not be able to go home. If what she thought happened actually did theres no way she can face her parents. They'd kill her.

"Fuck it I'll walk I'm not sitting here anymore"

She said to nobody in particular and started walking towards the direction of her brothers band house. She continued walking all through the day and eventually it began to get cold.

As night came and she walked along the sides of highways in the cold she just got more and more tired eventually just calling her brother.

"J-Jonah please t-tell me yyour home"
she shivered as she started to feel like passing out

"Summer? Are you ok?"

Jonah asked her clearly worried

"I can't...go home Jo... I'm- "

with that her legs buckled and she collapsed into a deep ditch in the side of the highway, Jonah terrified on the other end of the phone

"Summer!!? Summer!!"

He screamed and eventually hung up calling an ambulance and telling them the situation. They tracked the phone call to a desert highway and found the 15 year old girl freezing and passed out just barely breathing on the highway.
