As I lay there I feel more and more butterflies in my stomach, I feel safe, secure like I can never get hurt, I wish I could feel like this forever but...it will never happen again and that how it be. I sigh aloud

"Hey...everything okay? Is something bothering you?" James says starting to run his fingers through my hair. I sit and allow it to happen, I turn my body and my head so I am facing him, he continues to play with my hair, I lay and admire his looks.

"What's on your mind al?" James says concerned. I stay silent.

He sits up abit and pulls me into his chest
"You can tell me anything...I'm here for you always that's why we're friends" he says with an awkward smile on his face.

"That's the problem" I say while sitting up distancing myself from James, pulling my knees up to my chest at the end of the couch.

"What? y-you don't want to be f-friends?" James says offended but in a calm voice.

"No no no I do! I do! It's just..."

"Just what Alex?" James says moving closer

"I want...to be more than friends" I say under my breath...it goes quite for a good few seconds.

"Look I'm sorry I didn't mean to say that I eh I wou"- James put his finger over my mouth to shut me up.

"You don't have to apologise for telling me how you feel and what you want..." James said while moving his finger way from my mouth and putting his hand on my knee.

James POV

"Alex..." I say pulling him into my chest

"Yes James?" He says looking up at me with his

"What do you want from this conversation?" I say placing my 2 fingers under his chin pulling him closer to my face

"I want you James..."
