Late Nights - George

You weren't a fan of staying up late and neither was George. As matter of fact, he would be the first in bed before you. But tonight was one of those nights. Your midterms were coming up and since it was advised to study, you've been studying non stop for a week. It had gotten so bad to where it began to worry George. He hated that you were losing sleep or you were too tired to wanna hang out with him. He understood that school was a big deal but also he believed it isn't worth sleepless nights.

George moved closer over to your side of the bed, trying to feel for you. He realized you weren't there because of the coolness from the sheets. He tapped his phone which read 2:37 in the morning. George sighed heavily before getting up. His feet shuffled across the wooden floors of your shared flat. He found you sitting in the same position he left you in before going to bed. You had looked like a zombie. With dark circles painted under your eyes and the painful hunch in you back.

"Princess please come to bed. It's late." His pleads were ignored. Instead you continued to turn the pages of your textbook and scribble down some notes.

"Not now George. I have to finish this."

"Finish?! Babe, look at yourself! You're tired! When was the last time you took a break?"

Sighing, "George please. I'm almost done."

George shook his head. He than left the room, leaving it silent. You thought maybe he went back to bed. But instead you saw him come back with the comforter from your bed. George took a seat beside you on the couch, wrapping the blankets around the both of you.

"George, what are you doing?" You asked, tearing away from your studies.

"If you're not going to bed then neither am I." He said and grabbed his phone to keep him occupied while you studied.

"George, you're being ridiculous!"

"So are you! But because I love you, I'm not going to leave."

Your heart did flips within. He was so sweet and that's something about George that made you fall in love with him in the first place.
