It's September 16, 2014, 8:30pm. I'm Troy Parker, I'm 16 years old and I am diagnosed with Stage 4 Thyroid cancer with metastasis forming in my lungs, but I've managed to live with my disease owing to doses of an experimental drug called Phalanxifor. I graduated from highschool pretty early, I'm in my 2nd of year of college, my moms my teacher but she focus on my disease more than my school work.

"Troy I need to talk to you" Troys mom said

"What is it mom" Troy said while setting down his book.

"Your always sitting hear reading, you never go out and meet friends and socialize, so I signed you up for a socialize class, but before you get mad it's awesome! Its a class with people just like you" explained Tonys mom.

"People like me? So I'm just some monster" stated Troy.

"No Troy I didn't mean it like that, just please do this, for me?" Asked Troys mom

"Fine whatever" Troy said.

"Ok your first class is tomorrow, be ready sweetie" she said as she closed the door.

I didn't wanna do it, not at all, but she'd make me anyway so I might as well give in now before she had to yell at me about it. I just don't think il meet anyone "like me", my cancer is stranger than others, mine isn't ordinary. I grabbed my book and started to read more, I eventually grew tired and passed out.
