Carly and I walked into class together but sat apart, she was sitting next to her friend, I suppose she's the one that's gonna go blind.

"So class anyone new wanna come forward and introduce themselves?" Asked Steave.

Carly's friend stood up and said "I'm Tory, I'm 17 and I'm blind on the left eye, the doctor said I will lose vision in my next eye soon, I had my friend Carly come here for support"

"Well we feel your pain Tory, now Carly would you like to introduce yourself?" Steave asked.

She gets up "I'm Carly and I'm 16 years old, I'm just here to support Tory obviously, I had major cancer when I was younger but I'm fine now.. Not cured, just not as bad as it used to be"

"Lovely" Steave said.

Steave went on and time passed by until class was over, I saw Carly outside waiting for her parents so I went up to her and decided to say hi,

"Hey Carly, waiting for your parents?" I asked

"Haha yeah" she said.

"Well, you wanna head out? My mom dropped off my car and you and I could explore the town" I said.

"Sure haha, let me just wait for my mom so I can tell her the plan" she said.

"Ok haha" I said while pulling out a cigarette and putting it in my mouth.

"Are you serious? With the cancer you have now that's killing you, you decided to smoke? I thought you were different I actually thought you were cool" she said angrily.

"Haha, did I light it?" I said.

"What?" She asked

"Haha it's a metaphor from a book I read, you take the thing that kills you and put it between your teeth and don't give it the power to kill you" I explained.

"Ohhhh I read that book and saw the movie haha can't believe I didn't realize that" she said laughing.

"Haha don't worry it was cute seeing you freak out" I said.

"Oh shut up!" She yelled while blushing.

"Alright my moms here, il go tell her the plan alright?" She said

"Alight." I said back
