I woke up the next morning groggy and sore, Natsume (The fox yokai) long gone. I decided to bathe, stripping my clothes and bandages from last night. Once I was done with my bath I left to get ready for school. Before I get going I looked in the mirror and saw the bruises left on my neck and on the left side of my cheek a few inches below the eye. I couldn't let people see this so I wrapped my neck in gauze bandages and put an adhesive bandage on my bruise.
I then grabbed my bag and quietly proceeded to leave the house before my dad would wake up and start yelling about his grueling hang-over. I walked all the way to school alone, got to class and sat in my seat. Nobody was there yet except for me and a bunch of low leveled yokai. These yokai were mostly seen in business buildings and schools. Preying or latching on to those who were overly stressed and possibly depressed, making it worse tenfold.
I then heard the sound of stomping feet making their way to the front of the door. It slammed open and the spirits and I were greeted by an ash blonde haired boy who seemed to have it out for the world.
He looked at me and scowled, "What are you doing here so early half pint?"
"For your information, I actually have a name, " I stated.
He started to look closer, seeing the bandages, " What the hell happened to you loser?" he asked with an interested or possibly concerned tone in his voice.
A little color drained from my previous rosy cheeks as I recalled the events that unfolded last night. "Someone tried to mug me but I came out the victor." I lied through my teeth.
He deadpanned but regained composer, "Well you look like shit!"
"You should see the other guy." I smiled but flinched because of the pain from the bruise.
"Tch, Whatever" he turned around pissed off and took his seat.
We stayed like this for a while before people started to come in and slowly the classroom was filled. Everyone started to whisper some about the activities they would do after school and most were whispering about my battered face.
"Look at her face."
"Did someone hurt her?"
"We should probably avoid her, she screams trouble."
I look down, bangs covering my eyes, ready to explode. A loud obnoxious voice began to yell. "What the hell!!" I looked to see Katsuki storming out of the room making a scene about who knows what.
The conversations soon switched to the angry blonde and why he had done that. People asking why as they tried to come up with their own theories and rumors to spread.
The bell rang and he soon came back with an unhappy look on his face as per usual. Izu came in just behind him looking tired and distressed, the teacher only seconds behind him.
The day continued like any other but something made me feel uneasy. Like o was being watched. Fear started to envelop my very being as I slowly glanced at the window to see an eery woman with a creepy smile on her face.
