Chapter two: The Prince

Iceshard turned around, surprised. She started walking back towards her home. As soon as she stepped inside her igloo she went over to the egg. It now had more and bigger cracks covering the shell of the egg. She sat on her bed, thinking about how many icewings Soulstealer had killed, or... maybe not killed. She sighed, knowing that they would not have a true ruler for a long time until the royal dragonet was old enough, especially if it was a prince. She heard a knock on her door. She stepped over there, opening it a bit to see who it was. It was an icewing. She opened the door for the icewing and he ran inside. " What are you doing here? " She asked walking over to him. " Can I stay here for the day? " He asked her nervously. " Why? " She said to him flicking her tail. " Well....the nightwing ... the icewings panicked and kinda, destroyed my igloo..? " He said. " Fine, but what is your name then? " Iceshard asked the icewing. " My name is Alaska, what's your name? " He said looking at her. " My name is Iceshard, nice to meet you Alaska. " Iceshard said to Alaska sitting down. " Nice to meet you too. " Alaska said smiling. Alaska stepped over to they egg and turned to Iceshard. " Is this your egg? " He asked. " Well, not execally. It's the Queens but she is kinda, dead now.. " She said. " Oh, wow so you get to have a royal dragonet? " He said to her looking at the shiny egg. " I guess so. " Iceshard said realizing that. " It looks about ready to hatch. " Alaska said looking at the big cracks all around the eggs' shell. " Yeah. " She said smiling at him. She walked over to the egg and sat down by it. She heard a few little squeaks coming from the dragonet inside. Then some little claws poked out of a crack and the dragonet started clawing its way out. The top popped off of the egg and the little dragonets head popped out looking at them. " Aww. " Said Alaska looking at the little dragonet. He had shimmering blue eyes and scales like the moon. " Moombblue? " Said the dragonet climbing out of the egg. " What should we name him? " Iceshard asked Alaska. " Mhhhm, Something with Frost. " He said to her. " How about FrozenFrost? " Iceshard asked. " YERRP! " Said the dragonet agreeing with her. " It will do. " Said Iceshard looking at the prince. Iceshard felt the ground shaking. " Is there a earthquake or something?!? " Alaska said surprised. " Maybe. " Iceshard said grabbing FrozenFrost and wrapping him in her wing. She heard more screams, but not from just the surviving icewings.. But from the other tribes too. " Let's get out of here! " Alaska said opening the rock door. They ran outside to see every icewings body on the ground, dead. They stood there horrified. They were the only surviving icewings and Soulstealer was coming after them...
