Something Gained

Officaially

After my brother finally found out about the baby, I was less stressed. The weeks went by, and my belly grew, and I knew that soon I wouldn't be able to hide it. Early on a Monday morning Harry and I were called into a meeting with management and we both knew what it was about. "Listen you two, something has to be done about this."  We were told and we looked at them confused, "You two need to either make it known you're together before the baby is exposed or you two need to take everyone by surprise by getting engaged."  My mouth hung open, engaged? I'm only 18. I'm still in school, and Harry is only 22. I look over to see Harry concentrating on something really hard. Finally, after what felt like forever, he looked at the man sitting at the desk across from us, "If we get engaged now everyone will think it is only because of the baby, our best bet is making a post stating that we are dating and have been since before the baby was conceived. Though we weren't official before the baby was conceived, we will leave that part out. There is no reason to make our baby look like the only reason I am with Freya because it isn't."  I smiled at him knowing that this was the best idea and that his words were true. The man across the table from us smiled and agreed it would be a better idea. Harry immediately took out his phone and pulled up a picture of me that he had taken one day when we were bored and had decided to go on an adventure, and I watched him as he typed out a post.

He finished the post with a few heart emojis and then posted it. In seconds there were comments of all kinds, some congratulating Harry and I on our relationship and some that were full of jealousy. Harry told me not to worry about what they thought because at the end of the day their opinion doesn't matter. When we were done with our meeting and management was happy with the choices we made concerning when we were going to announce the baby we left and went to meet up with the rest of the guys. Thought I knew that now that I was openly dating Harry there would be paps trying to get my picture, I didn't expect what I was in for when I stepped out of the car at the shops. Once I stepped out, I immediately placed Harry in front of me in the hopes that he would hide my bump from the pictures. Once inside I felt safer but avoided windows. I had always had slight trouble with the paps because of who my brother is but never like this. I was trying to enjoy the afternoon with the boys when my phone would not stop going off. My Instagram and twitter were going crazy. I had new followers and hundreds of new comments on my pictures. This was going to take some getting used to.
