It was the second day of summer vacation, and Abby paced around her front door like a suspenseful movie. She peeked through the curtains, and suddenly she squealed with delight as a red pick-up truck drove on her smooth driveway. Her dog Zipper, a small gray husky, with one blue and one green eye, jumped onto the windowsill that extended out a foot for shelving, and barked happily as Ry, as Abby liked to call her stepped onto the pavement. Her long blond hair blowing in the wind like some movies. Her brother Nick, who was 19 ran over, and flipped his hair. He thought that Ry was cute, and was trying to score with her, but instead Abby pushed him out of the way, as she ran and opened the door. Ry ran to her, her sunglasses about to fall off her head as she reached the door. She waved to her dad, and stepped inside. Abby knew that Ry hated not being trusted to drive yet. She grunted and pulled the door shut. She dropped her bags for Nick to carry to Abby's room, because he insisted. They ran outside, and turned the corner quick to escape her brother's persistence. They then walked onto the dirt road, witch was shaded by thick trees along each side so that it was private. Abby turned to Ry and stopped, Ry stopped as well , but kept looking forward. "Are you ready for the best Summer ever!" She said almost too loud. "You know I am!" When Ry failed 11th grade, Abby forced her grades down to stay with her, So they were still in school. Abby ran ahead and Ry followed more slowly. They reached there getaway spot, a lone tree in a field that was about to be a finished treehouse, but the owner died. They climbed the rope and little pegs, and sat in their chairs. So far, they had repainted it, and added a couple things like, a tiny bathroom, a storage of canned food and water, and a bow and arrow. So that they could live there if necessary. Abbey went over, and grabbed two bottles of water, and handed one to Ry. She opened hers and took a long drink, when she was finished she re-capped it and set it down next to her. She watched as Ry accurately spit water out a window, Ry only drank half of it the rest was usually spit out. They relaxed, for hours and finally went in when it was dark. When they got back, Abby went to the bathroom. Later Ry told her what happened, she said "as soon as you went into the bathroom, Nick kept getting slowly closer until he finally told me i was cute, who even says that anymore." It was no surprise to Abby, but she acted as though she was going to Amal him for it. Ry looked at the door to Abby's room, "I bet he is out there right now spying on our conversation." She turned away. "Let's chat more tomorrow." Abby suggested, and they fell asleep.
