Chapter 2

^Shadow^

Tom's PoV

"How can he be an Ultima, I thought all the Ultimas were a myth" i thought hard as the rouge looked and smiled at me. Then I start to panic "Tom what if he rejects us, what are meant to do when he does" my wolf Ethan said to me "I don't know" I told Ethan.

Shadow's PoV

"Hey I'm Valtryex Midnight Conrade Shadow Kerbeus Storm Okumura but you can call me shadow if you want to" I said smiling at my cute mate. "HOW DARE YOU WALK INTO MY PACK YOU FUCKING FILTHY DISGUSTING DISGRACEFUL ROUGE IF YOU TAKE ONE MORE STEP YOU WILL REGRET IT" alpha tord shouted in a rage. "Oh really I'll regret it" I say to Tord as I take a few steps forward "see nothings happening and I don't regret it" I said with a smirk on my face

"You little-" the alpha said as he took a step towards me with his fist clenched. Tord threw a punch at me but I blocked it and I told my twin brother Zak to hold tord back and he did  "uh uh uh I wouldn't even try it" I teased tord wagging my finger at him and he couldn't get out of Zak's strong hold.

"Let our alpha go right now you filthy rouge" the betas edd and tyson said in unison demanding that I tell Zak to let tord go.  "And what if I don't" I grinned tilting my head like a curious little puppy, "we'll hurt you really bad" Tyson said with a angry tone of voice.

Tom's PoV

"Our mate is so strong but also stupid" Ethan said to me. "He really is" I nodded in agreement with him. I looked at Shadow and our eyes met, I felt sparks of happiness go through my body. I felt my mate tattoo change colour from blue to black. I walked to where Shadow,Zak,Edd and Tyson were and growled at edd and Tyson. Edd tried to throw a punch at Shadow, he dodged it with ease. I kneed edd in the stomach whilst he was distracted, edd doubled over as wind was knocked out of him, I punched him in the side of his head, he went unconscious.

I looked at Tyson and my eyes turned dark blue with rage, Tyson looked at me "I'll make you pay for this, just you wait." He declared and he transformed into a grey wolf and ran off into the distance. I was going to run after him when I felt someone's hand on my arm, "Don't go after him, I don't want to see you get hurt."

I turned around and looked at Shadow, my eyes changed to light blue "why would you care about what happens to me" I spat and I covered my mouth, "Because I like you, that's why I would care Tom" he told me. "Wait how do you know my name?" I asked him curiously. "Ethan told Fang and well Fang told me" he smiled happily at me and I smiled back nervously.

"Shadow can I ask you something please" I said, and he raised his eyebrows at me in confusion "sure"he said. "Where is your mate tattoo" I pointed at the tattoo that on the left side of my neck "can we go somewhere more privately so I can show you" he asked, and he held my hand, we walked to my old home that I used to live at before my mom died 2 years later after my dad died after being shot by a hunter. Tears began to form in my eyes as I entered the house.

Shadow's POV

I saw tears roll down Tom's cheeks, so I wiped his tears away and kissed his pink yet soft lips, i felt him wait a few seconds before kissing back. "What's wrong Tom?" I asked him, I could still see the sadness in his eyes, "this is where I used to live with my mom dad and sister, before my mom died and my before my dad was shot by a hunter" tom told me.

Flackback (Tom's POV)

I was sat playing some video games on my TV when I heard a sound like glass falling on the ground and smashing into a million tiny pieces. I ran into the kitchen to see my mom on the floor collapsed with glass shards stuck in her hands. I ran to her and checked her breathing and pulse "n-no m-mom you can't be dead" I cried, "at least my sister Tia wasn't here to see this." I thought. I called the packs doctor and we went to the hospital. "Tom we've tried every possible way to bring her back, but I'm sorry to say this... your mom is dead" Dr Kite told me, I began to cry again, I ran out the hospital and into the woods next to our pack, I don't know how long I cried for. I howled in pain and sadness, but I soon collapsed and everything went black.
End of flashback

I hugged Tom after he finished telling me what happened, I lifted his head up my his chin "Tom I promise you that I'm never going to leave you" I told him and kissed his forehead, I took my shirt off and on the left side of my chest my mate tattoo turned from black to blue.  I gasped as Tom ran his fingers over my tattoo I felt sparks of joy fly through my body. I leaned in closer to his neck and kisses his mate tattoo, I heard Tom purr with happiness.

"Shadow I think I like you to" Tom looked up at me and pulled me closer. We kissed, and I wrapped my arms around his waist and he wrapped his arms around my neck "Tom can we erm scent each other" I blushed in embarrassed after I asked him and he nodded.

I licked his scent glands a lot, so my scent would last longer, Tom's scent was like strawberries and vanilla. Tom did the same to me I purred happily, "Shadow your scent is like mint and chocolate" Tom told me, I put my black top back on and we walked around the clan.

"Shadow before my mom died my dad was the alpha until Tord's father took over, since he was my dads trusted Beta and he made Tord the new pack alpha when he couldn't lead the pack anymore. Me and my friend Hazard was from then on treated poorly by everyone until you came here, I couldn't fight back" he growled angrily at himself as he said that.

I looked into his blue eyes "he's hot" I said not realising that I said it out loud. "Thanks you idiot, your cute as well" Tom smirked and I blushed and looked away , "I'm not cute" I stubbornly said and stuck my tongue out at him.

{Shadow has a 24 pack and he has a scar going diagonally across his left eye and he has a lot of scars all over his chest also his left arm,hand and all the left side of his chest is burnt and he has 3 massive claw marks on his back,chest and left arm}

(Tom's tattoo is blue but when shadow is near/next to him his tattoo is black, and Shadow's tattoo turns black, but when Tom is near/next to him his tattoo turns blue).
