Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY. If I did then I'd do more with Glynda's character, try and give her more traits and round her out.

(Y/N)'s POV
The door to my temporary room lets out a squeak as it opens. Light from the hallway pours into the dark room, leaving my shadow framed in its radiance. Peering into the pitch black room, I get flashes to times when fierce eyes would stare back at me from the darkness. A cold chill starts to run up my spine as I scramble to reach the light switch. Once my fingers find the switch, I quickly flip the thing up and illuminate the room. My muscles go lax as a sigh leaves me. Not wanting to linger in the hallway any longer than I already have, my feet carry me into my room, after which I shut the door. Its at this moment, as I stand in the room, trying to calm my nerves, that I'm grateful the headmaster just wanted to talk with Glynda. Now she can't see me acting like a child who's scared of the dark.
Shaking those thoughts from my head, I silently make my way over to the window and open the blinds before then heading to the bed to have a seat. I do my best to not make a sound as I do all of that. Only when I am completely on the mattress do I remember that I don't have to have my weapon still on my person. I guess old habits die hard. In a swift motion my katana is laid on the nightstand near my bed. While I'm already reaching over there I might as well turn on the lamp. Not like having some more light in the room will do me any harm. With a click, the lamp comes to life, causing me to give a quick smile as I can relax even more. Now that all of that is done, I am able to mull over my thoughts of the evening. My mind soon wanders to earlier this afternoon, right after we beat back the Grimm incursion. After Glynda and I had taken out the Nevermore and Ursa, much like we did in the past. My hand rises up and gently touches my lips as I remember her sudden kiss. Honestly I don't even remember walking up to her, I just remember seeing her and then suddenly having her tender lips pressed to mine. My hand lowers as I smile, it was certainly a step up from the last kiss she gave me. Earlier today I just thought I'd have the one meeting with the headmaster, never thought so much would happen.
As I reminisce, the door opens up and in walks a tired looking Glynda. Her glasses are a little lower on her nose than she usually allows and some strands of hair are starting to come loose. Her shoulders are slumped as she carries her tablet in one hand and has her riding crop strapped to her hip. She lets out a huff before her emerald eyes land on me. I give her a smile and soon a smile grows on her face.
"All done with the headmaster?" After my question, my former professor nods while shutting the door.
"Finally. We needed to figure out how much damage was done during the incursion, how many were injured, and how this happened. We also still had business from the original meeting to go over." As she talks, she walks over to the bed and nightstand, "Plus I had some things in my office that I needed to attend to. If I had known the school was going to be attacked, I wouldn't have pushed so much paperwork off until today." The last one earns a chuckle from me.
"If I had known about the last part, I could have come to help you." She smiled as she looked at me from the corner of her eyes. Right now she was setting her tablet, riding crop, and glasses down on the nightstand.
"Just like in the past?" I give her a happy nod as she then moves over and sits to my right. While she takes off her high heels and throw them off to the side, the green eyed huntress says, "Well as much as I would have enjoyed the help and the nostalgia, you needed to see the nurse. You did do that, right?" She gets a little stern with the last sentence as she cocks an eyebrow while looking at me. I let out a defeated sigh as I respond.
