Renae turned around, looking at Hazel. "So, good luck! I'm sure you'll make friends!" She said, as she skipped away. "I thought..she was gonna come with me.." Hazel said, looking up at the door. "..It can't be that hard...Yeah! You can do this Hazel!" She marched into the room, announcing "Hazel had arrived!" Everyone in the room looked at her, confused. "Er...I-I mean...My name's Hazel." Hazel looked down, holding her arm. A girl with a bright smile on her face stood up, walking up to her. Ugh....so much smiling..Hazel thought. "Hi! My name's Ellie!" She was wearing pigtails, and she had a dog shirt on. Hazel and Ellie shook hands, Hazel forcing a smile. A girl with pink hair shoved Ellie aside, and scoffed. "MY name's Saki. You don't mess with me or Destiny, got it?". She was scary....Hazel nodded quietly. Everyone was now crowding around Hazel, and she suddenly yelled: "Leave me alone!". The room went silent. Hazel quietly pushed them away and went into the closet. "You here to mope too?" A ghostly girl asked, looking at Hazel with a neutral expression. "Uh..No..I was hiding from them" Hazel said, still scared. "Oh..I hide from them too" She said. "How rude of me...My name's Mariah, if you wanted to know." Hazel smiled a bit. Someone who wasn't insane for once, even though she was a ghost. "My names-" Hazel tried to say, until Mariah interupted her. "Hazel. I heard you when you bursted in" She said. "So..your new. Let me tell you how it goes around here. Pretty much everyone here is underdogs, exept for Saki and Destiny. Theres lower levels, like me. You always start on the bottom. I never move up..because no one ever notices me." Mariah explained. "Oh...This is complicated" Hazel said, a little confused. "I guess..I dunno. Anyway. Our bedtime is at 10 pm, and no later. I, sneak into my closet to mope. I mope a lot." Mariah said. "So..this place is like a big family? Hazel asked. "Yeah..Sorta. I guess. Anyways, welcome to the club. You can stay here if you want." Mariah said. "I'll um..do that." Hazel said. Hours passed, Hazel and Mariah talking every now and then. Hazel was thinking about her new 'Family' most of the time. Eventualllly, a voice called; "Girls! Dinner!". Everyone crowded into the dining room, and Mariah stayed put. "Aren't you gonna eat?" Hazel asked. "No. I'm a ghost. I don't need to eat." Mariah said. "Ohh..Duh..Well..See you later" Hazel said, As she walked into the kitchen. There appeared to be no seats open, and a lady looked at Hazel. "How about you sit next to Destiny sweetie?" She said. "Sure" Hazel said, as she sat next to Destiny. "Hi! I'm Destiny! Hehe! You came from the human world right!?" Destiny was pretty much yelling. "Don't be so loud..yes..." Hazel said, feeling awkward at her yelling. Then she remebered Saki's words, and quietly turned away and ate. Hazel just thought about stuff as she ate. "Hm..I wonder what my parents would be thinking right now..probably something like 'Oh look she's gone! Good! She was a brat!'..Hmph...I never did anything to them..yet...All they ever did was hurt...and hurt..and.." Hazel was thinking, as tears were appearing in her eyes. The girl on the other side of Hazel looked at her. "Hey, Are you okay? Is the food spicy or something?" She asked, concerned. "O-Oh uh..N-No..I'm fine.." Hazel said, realizing she was crying trying to hold herself together. "Ohkayy..Well..I'm Hoshiko..and NO! I'm not a fox!" Hoshiko said. "Oh..I could tell you were a werewolf" Hazel said. "Really?" Hoshiko asked, suprised. "Yeah. Foxes have a different look to their ears and tail" Hazel said. "Wanna be friends?" Hoshiko asked. "Sure." Hazel said. At least Hazel had a freind now..She wasn't sure if Mariah was her friend. Suddenly, a ghostly mermaid appeared in front of Hazel. "HI!" She said, grinning. "AH!" Hazel screamed, startled, falling back in her chair. "Ow.." She said. "Oopsie! Sorry~!" She said, looking at Hazel. Hoshiko helped Hazel up, looking at the ghost. "Go find someone else to bother, Ellen" Hoshiko said. "..Right..of course..sorry..." The girl who Hazel now knew was Ellen said. Ellen turned away, and Hazel looked at her. "Wait..do you want to be our friend?" Hazel asked. "Really?" Ellen asked, stars in her eyes, turning around. "Yes" Hazel said. Hoshiko whispered in Hazel's ear: "Are you sure dude? She's really...airheaded". "Yes, I'm sure. I know how she feels." Hazel said. "Right.." Hoshiko said. "Friends!...me and my sister were best friends.." Ellen said, looking down. "Were?" Hazel asked. "Yes...I lost her..I wear this bracelet to remember her" Ellen said, showing her flower bracelet. "Oh..I'm sorry." Hazel said. "It's fine..people ask a lot" Ellen says. "Wanna play a game?" Hoshiko asks. "Uhm..maybe after dinner?" Hazel said, gesturing at the food. "Right, Right" Hoshiko said, turning back to her food. Ellen patiently waited inbetween her new friends until they both finished dinner, and then Hoshiko said when they were done: "Hide and Seek! It'll help Hazel learn the building!". "Amazing Idea!" Ellen agreed. "Sure" Hazel said. They went into the main room again. "Okay, I'll count. Ellen, you and Hazel can hide." Hoshiko said. "Okay!" Ellen said, giggling. Hoshiko started counting, and Ellen lead Hazel into the hallway. "C'mon, I have the best hiding spot!" Ellen said. "Alright" Hazel said, not complaining. Eventually, Ellen looked at Hazel. "Wait..where are we going again?" Ellen asked. "Um..I don't know..I was following you" Hazel said. "Everyone knows not to trust me with directions! Uh..Just hide somewhere in here!" Ellen said, hiding behind a plant. Hazel hid under a bench. Hoshiko stepped in the room. "Come out come out wherever you are..." Hoshiko looked at the bush, and pushed the leaves aside. "Found you Ellen" Hoshiko said. "Annd.." Hoshiko walked over to the bench and looked at Hazel. "Found you". "Awww...Your too good at hide and seek Hoshiko!" Ellen whined. "Eh..." Hazel said. Hazel was just glad to have friends for once in her life, even though she technically is still very young.
