The reason of silence

As they all got to know each other,the blonde girl noticed that Natsu didn't join them in their conversation." Umm...Wendy,why isn't he joining us?" She asks with wonders." He's not used to strangers,Lucy. Better leave him alone." Wendy answers. Lucy just stared at the strange boy across the guild.

{Lucy's p.o.v}

I stared at the boy and thought,"He saved me but he didn't speak to me. That's strange. Oh well,might as well say thanks for the save". I walked up to him. As I was reaching him,he suddenly turned around. "That's a surprise". I thought. He looked at me with a straight face. Then,before I could say anything,he turned around and walked away." Lucy-san,do you need anything from him?" Juvia asks. I told her that I wanted to thank the Dragon Slayer for saving me,but he left. Juvia then suddenly laugh." What's wrong? Did I say something funny?" I asked,feeling strange that Juvia is laughing at me." It's not that. It's just,I think the young master fall in love with you." She said. I gave her a puzzled look. The other Dragon Slayers joined us. Erza then began to talk." Natsu,when he looked at you before he walked away was actually blushing. And it's a rare sight". She said with a smile." Why is that?"I ask. Then Erza said"Let me tell you a story of his past,maybe then you'll understand the meaning of his silent behavior"

{Flashback}

"When Natsu was young he had a girlfriend. A Dragon Slayer that is. Her name was Crystal. A crystal Dragon Slayer too. A girl with a beautiful voice and a talented Dragon Slayer. Her hair was soft and aqua blue in colour. Although many girls in our kingdom wants to be with Natsu,Natsu choose this girl as his first friend. Naturally,I'm Natsu's childhood friend but I'm not close to him just as Crystal is. Since,we were young Natsu was never seen to smile. Until Crystal came to his life,he laugh and smile almost everyday. It's the best day for him back then. Until one day, they were both sent to a mission to retrieve the Dragon cry staff. Crystal carried Natsu in her Dragon form and went to the human land. During the mission,humans was surprised to see a dragon roaming in the sky. Some were scared,some were excited,and some wants to eliminate her. Not knowing what the human can do,Crystal decided to land at the port when suddenly she was shoot by a magic bullet. Crystal,then bring Natsu away from the human despite her injuries. They both got away,but Crystal didn't last long. Upon reaching the Dragon's island castle,she suddenly collapsed. Then right there,in Natsu's arms she died. That day,he cried with a silent voice."

{End of flashback}

"So that's what happened." I said. Kinda feel sorry for him." Ever since then,Natsu didn't talk. He only talks when giving order,plans or to his father and brother." Erza said. I looked at the place where he was standing before. Suddenly I felt sad though I don't know why. A Dragon Slayer with a sad and depressing past,must be hard for him.
