A figure moved through the darkness, accompanied by a smaller, more excited figure, moving away from the small settlement of Megaton, heading south-west, towards West Virginia.
Out of D.C .
All Kyra (the taller figure) had left behind in her house was a single holotape labelled "Goodbye.". She was leaving the ruins of D.C behind in hopes of finding something better than here.
Her part in the story of the Capital Wastes was finished, her chapter over. This place held nothing for her now, only shadows and painful memories. It was time for her to move on.
And so it was that the Lone Wanderer disappeared from the ruins of D.C., leaving only a holotape and her legacy behind.
