Jungkook sat on the roof of his school. He watched the small, icy crystals spiral down. Winter had come quite early this year. It was around five. The sun was beginning to set, casting beautiful colors through the sky. He was lost in deep thought. But he then came back to what he thought was reality. He watched as his classmate Taehyung walked out of the school.
It made Jungkook sigh and roll his eyes. This couldn't be reality. Jungkook watched Taehyung cross the street and disappear down the road. He was always told that no one was ever perfect in the real world. And then there's Taehyung. To Jungkook, he was absolutely flawless. Taehyung was beautiful. And kind. And sweet. And caring and cute. He was so cheerful and dorky all the time. He was friendly with everyone. Even the bullies. He was perfect. But Jungkook is sure he has a girlfriend. He always sees Taehyung hanging out with this girl. She was small and had short, curly, brown hair. The girl had always been so nice to Jungkook. Her name was Nadia. She was one of Jungkook's closer friends. And probably one of the people that he disliked the most. But he doesn't know if they're actually together. He doesn't want to ask either. Jungkook could never gather the courage to even sit near Taehyung. What makes you think he'd talk to him. Jungkook and Taehyung share four classes together. Math, history, gym, and music. Jungkook always felt like one of the lucky ones, being in Tae's music class. Taehyung never sang any actual songs, but he did once. His voice was beautiful. And surprisingly deep. Jungkook knew he was in love after that. He shivered as an icy breeze brushed passed him. The sun had gone down. He should leave before he gets kicked out. Jungkook went inside and walked down the empty hallways. He heard faint music coming from one of the classrooms. He had thought that the music clubs already ended, like, two hours ago. He walked over to the door and peeked in. There was his classmate Jung Hoseok. He was practicing a dance that seemed oddly familiar to Jungkook. Ah, now he remembers. His little sister said she was learning that dance in her dance class. She was only in elementary school, but she's gotten really good at it. He gave a small smile and then realized it. His classmate Hoseok is doing the same dance that his little sister does. He stared until Hoseok noticed him. Hoseok ran over and paused his music. "Hello!" He hopped over to Jungkook, "Do you need something?" Jungkook stared, starting to panic. He's never met Hoseok head-on. Jungkook never really talked to anyone. He didn't know what to say. "I- uh.. You, I mean-" Jungkook froze. "Um... Nice dancing!" He said quickly before turning and rushing down the hallway. "Uh, thanks?" Hoseok said after him, "I guess?" Jungkook walked out the school gates slightly hitting himself. "Nice dancing? What? What's wrong with me?" He walked into the bubble tea shop down the street. Still scolding himself. He stood in line on his phone. The bubble tea shop was busier than usual. Jungkook didn't mind until he reached the front of the line. "Good evening!" A soft, kind voice greeted joyfully. Jungkook quickly looked up. It was Taehyung. He had no idea Taehyung worked here. "What would you like to have tonight?" Taehyung asked, giving Jungkook his adorable, boxy smile. Jungkook opened his mouth to speak, but the words seemed to refuse to leave. He started stuttering. "Hey! Can you hurry up already?" A man behind Jungkook hissed. Taehyung puffed out his cheeks, "I'm sorry sir. But please be a little more patient." He looked back at Jungkook. His eyes were so soft and careful. Jungkook immediately felt more relaxed, "I'll take the Nature's Favorite green bubble tea. With some lemon cake. Please." He was a bit surprised that he said it all in one go. Taehyung gave him an excited smile, "Coming right up!" While working, Taehyung looked back at Jungkook, "The Nature's Favorite green bubble tea is my personal favorite. And I absolutely love the lemon cake here." Jungkook couldn't help but blush, "The g-green tea is m-my favorite too." Taehyung walked back to the counter and gave Jungkook his order. "I recognize you." He said in a curious tone, "You're Jungkook, from music class, right?" Jungkook slightly flushed, "Um.. Yes." Taehyung told the other workers that he was gonna take a break. So Taehyung walked with Jungkook and they took a seat. "I have to tell you, you're voice sounds amazing." Taehyung said cheerfully, but shyly. Jungkook turned his head away to hide his burning cheeks, "Thanks." Taehyung's voice grew soft with embarrassment, "It sounds really nice and s- soft." Jungkook glanced at Taehyung, seeing the soft blush, "T- thanks." And from there, they started talking. It started out with small talk. But Jungkook and Taehyung grew to know each other quickly. Then Taehyung had to get back to work. "I've gotta go! I'll see you at school Kook!" Taehyung stood up and walked away. Leaving a flustered Jungkook. "K- kook?" He watched Taehyung work. He was cheerful with everyone. "Saw you flirting with Taeger. Jungkook making moves?" Someone said in front of Jungkook. Jungkook gave a small jump and looked forward. It was his friend Yoongi. Jungkook could recognize him and his minty hair anywhere. Jungkook gave a frustrated growl, "When did you get here?" Yoongi gave a teasing smirk, "Just now. That was cute. Seeing you and your long-time crush flirting. It made me gag." Jungkook lightly punched his shoulder, "We weren't flirting." Yoongi stuck his tongue out, "Whatever helps you sleep at night, Kookie. Anyway, I've gotta go." And just like that, Yoongi left. Jungkook sat in silence, gripping onto the flannel around his waist, "What a jerk."
______________________________________Jungkook sat still in his seat. The teacher was giving another lecture on the Korean War. It was all the same stuff. Who started it. Why it ended. How it was triggered. Jungkook felt like he was going to pass out. "Look at your Taeger guy." Yoongi suddenly said, sitting on the desk next to Jungkook. Jungkook glared at Yoongi for a full minute. "I will hurt you." He whispered. "Mr. Jeon! No talking!" The teacher hissed. Jungkook stared forward. Yoongi gave a small laugh, "Sorry Kookie. I didn't mean to get you in trouble." Jungkook shook his head and sighed, "Don't you have classes too?" Yoongi forced out a sarcastic laugh, "Of course I do. Class 1-A, of the high school of the dead!" Jungkook rolled his eyes, "Enough of your nonsense." "Mr. Jeon!" The teacher barked once more, "This is your final warning! No talking!" Yoongi hissed, "Jeez. She's no fun. I've gotta go now. Bye Kookie. Keep gazing at Taeger guy." Jungkook gave a silent hiss. But he did as Yoongi said. Willingly. He always had a certain gaze for Taehyung. He always tried to hide it, but it didn't work often. Then he noticed Yoongi. Sitting in front of Taehyung. Studying him. Taehyung was staring at his paper, confused with literally all of it. Jungkook gave the smallest chuckle. Taehyung looked cute when he was confused. Jungkook would never say that out loud. Ever. What was Yoongi even doing? He knows that Taehyung wouldn't notice him. So why is he trying so hard to get his attention? He watched Yoongi reach up and touch Taehyung's hair. What was he doing? Yoongi looked over to Jungkook, "His hair is really soft. And fluffy." Jungkook rolled his eyes. Looking back down at his paper. "You picked a good one Kookie." Yoongi said, now sitting next to Jungkook. "Maybe when you guys get to know each other and grow closer. Maybe you could finally let me go." Jungkook sat still for a second. And then he looked up at Yoongi. He was right. Ever since the incident, Jungkook has never been able to let Yoongi go. He gave a small, sad frown. Yoongi smiled, "I don't mean to bring you down Kookie. I'm just saying. Maybe he could be your solution to moving on."
______________________________________Jungkook walked down through the large metal gates. He walked along the stone paths, watching the grey clouds fill the sky. He turned and walked down the row of stones. And then he stopped. He stared down at the grave stone in front of him. Min Yoongi. He frowned. Yoongi was always his best friend. He was a jerk sometimes. But he was so care-free. He never listened to anyone. He always won his battles. Except for one. His battle against depression. He lost that one. And it all went up in flames from it. "Why do you look so sad?" He heard Yoongi say. He looked up and saw Yoongi standing next to him. Jungkook frowned, "You know why." Yoongi sighed, "Yeah. I know. I can't comfort you. But I'm sure that Taeger can." Jungkook turned his head and saw Taehyung. His eyes slightly widened as Taehyung approached. Jungkook looked at Yoongi, "You didn't." Yoongi smirked and sat down, "Just trying to look out for my Jungkookie." Taehyung popped up next to Jungkook, "Hey Kook. You doing alright?" Jungkook grew a bit shy, "How did you know I'd be here?" Tae gave a soft smile, "I was visiting someone. And something told me you'd be here." Jungkook stared down at his friend's grave. Staying quiet. Suddenly, Taehyung pulled him into a hug. Jungkook was in shock. He stayed tense. "Jeez Kook. Relax, you're as stiff as a log. It's just a hug." Taehyung giggle. Jungkook slowly relaxed, trying to keep his blush at bay. Yoongi scrunched his nose, "You two shouldn't be acting so cute at my grave. It'll make me gag even if I'm dead." Jungkook stuck his tongue out at Yoongi and slightly nuzzled into Tae. Yoongi looked quite insulted. "Alright." He hissed, "I see how it is." Jungkook buried his face into Taehyung. Trying to hide his blush and keep from crying. "Thank you. For being here," Jungkook whispered. Taehyung gave a soft smile, "Of course. Anything for you."
