Jhope glared at himself through the mirror. He heard his father from the livingroom. "Hurry up Hoseok! You're gonna be late for school again!" Jhope slammed his hand against the mirror. "Okay! I'll be out in a minute!" He backed away from the sink. The mirror drifted open. From inside, a bottle of white pills fell out into the sink. Jhope stared at it. He shook his head and put the bottle back into the mirror medicine cabinet. He grabbed his bag and walked into the living room. His dad looked at him from the couch, "I really hope destiny has something in store for you, boy." Jhope opened the front door, "Mr. Jung. I don't believe in destiny. I'm just tryna do what's best for me." He walked out and started down the stairs. They lived in an apartment complex, so there were a lot of stares. Jhope turned and walked down the sidewalk. He stared at the passing cars thinking. It's now been two years since he and his friends lost touch. "Life has really gone downhill. Hasn't it." He said softly. He crossed the road and walked onto the college campus. He was only in school because he didn't want to disappoint his parents. Though, it didn't even matter. He already failed them. Jhope walked into the building and into the classroom. He sat down in his seat and pulled out his textbooks. A small, folded piece of paper fell out of his bag. Jhope reached down and picked it up. He slowly unfolded the paper. It was an old Polaroid photo of him and his friends. He stared at it for a full five minutes. He crumpled up the photo and shoved it into his pocket. After that small discovery, Jhope felt worse than ever. He practically glared at the teacher as she spoke. He struggled with writing down assignments because he kept breaking the pencil. After class, Jhope had to go to the Councilor again. He had to go for a while now. His mother said it'd be best for him. But it only makes things worse. The Councilor doesn't help. Medications don't help. Hope had even tried drinking for a bit. That didn't work either. Nothing seems to work anymore. Sometimes Jhope wishes he could call his old friends. But he can't. They lost touch a long time ago. And time after that. Yoongi died. So did Jungkook. Namjoon was in jail. So was Taehyung. Jimin is still in the hospital. Jhope can't visit him. Jin was off in America. Everything Jhope had to cling to for hope was gone. His friends were either dead or in jail or the hospital. Jin seemed to be in great shape. Jhope was happy for him. He knows Jin has been having a successful life in America. But Jhope doesn't even think Jin knows what's happened. Jhope honestly thinks it's time to end it. Maybe one last trip to the hospital would finally finish Jhope. For good. Maybe this time, the doctors won't be able to save him. Jhope walked into the Councilor' s office. She looked at him, "Ah. Hoseok. Come sit down." Jhope stood still before he sat down. She gave him a smile, "So what's been on your mind lately." Jhope stayed silent. He knew he was going to tell her everything this time. Even the reason as to why. He was going to finally rid himself of the world. He stared at her for a minute before speaking. "I've been thinking about my old friends." She gave a nod, "What about them do you think about?" Jhope hesitated before talking again, "I remember how happy we all were when we were together. And I remember all the dumb stuff we did. And I remember how we were all each other had. I remember how perfect it was." The Councilor shifted slightly. This was the first time Jhope had ever actually spoken to her about things like this. She nodded lightly, "Are you still with these friends?" Jhope looked at her, "Okay. So I'm about to rant. So keep listening. And don't interrupt me." The Councilor was a little surprised, but nodded. Jhope squirmed.in his seat. "So. I haven't had any contact with my friends in a little over two years. But I know what's happened to them. After we all separated, it was like all of our lives went down hill. My friend Jin seems to be the only one who doing okay. He seems to be doing great. My friend Yoongi died in a fire that he caused on purpose. My friend Jungkook died by getting hit by a car. My friend Jimin is in the hospital because he had a seizure and doesn't remember anything. My friend Namjoon was arrested because he beat up some rich, snobby bitch. And my friend Taehyung got arrested for murdering his father. And I wish something would just come and fix all of the mistakes and make it all perfect again. I wish I could just be with them instead of being here. I wish everything could just go back to being perfect. And I wish all of this could happen because I was truly happy way back then. And the only reason why I'm telling you all of this is because I have lost all hope and I will be taking my life when I leave. Which I am leaving right now." Jhope quickly stood up and walked out. "Wait! Hoseok!" The Councilor tried to go after him, but Jhope was running. So the Councilor ran to the office, asking for Jhope's address. She was to send a team there as fast as possible. But Jhope wasn't going home. Instead, he went to the old train tracks where he and his friends use to hang out. He climbed up one of the old train carts and sat there. He gazed out at the setting sun. He remembered this view. He was still so use to one of his friends making a comment on the sky. Or on how cold it was. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the bottle of white pills. He slowly opened the bottle and poured the pills into his hand. He stared down at them. Then he remembered something he saw in t.v. yesterday. He told the Councilor that Taehyung had gotten arrested for murder. But that wasn't true. Taehyung was supposed to get arrested after they found out he did it. But yesterday. On the news. Police had found Taehyung dead by the stone docks. He had drowned himself in the ocean. Jhope slightly chuckled. That's one way to get out. He slowly dropped all of the pills in his mouth. Swallowing all of them. He stared up and the grey sky that was flooding with colors. Maybe he'll be able to see them again. At least three of them. He gripped onto the empty bottle before climbing down the train cart and walking towards the bridge. He walked across the side of the bridge. Watching the blue side of the sky turn orange. He turned his head. Staring at all of the cars passing by. His vision blurred and became splotchy. Jhope tilted to the side. His eyes drifted close as he collapsed. Everything was black. Then, when Jhope's eyes drifted open one last time. He saw red and blue lights. Then he fell asleep. And Jhope stayed asleep. Forever.
