Divine and Wretched

Chapter 6

                                                                                  (Andy's POV)

  Its crazy to think that tomorrow is our last day of classes. This year has gone by so fast and we can't wait for Warped Tour. We've been cramming for our final exams. We're also practicing every chance we get. Warped tour starts in three weeks and we graduate in a week. We're all very excited for our journeys to continue.

 "I just got a call from Jace. They found Oli and he's back in the City of Bones." Ashley states.

  "That's great but we still don't know who's helping him. That's the major downside of all this. Plus, the countless murders. I'm scared to leave my pack when we have tour." I explain. I just can't believe all the things happening in our lives.

 He nods. "That's true but Jace said that they're close to finding out who's helping." He says.

 I smile. "Well at least its something worth it." I state.

  "At least its something. It's been months since Clary stopped by for that announcement. I hope they figure it out." He agrees.

 "I have an idea about who this might be." I say.

 "Who?" he asks.

  "You're not gonna like it. I think it might be Juliet." I state. "Why she would help him, I have no idea but I think that she's the other person behind this." I say.

  His mouth widens then he looks shocked. "I wouldn't be surprised but at the same time, I would be. They are dating, he could easily persuade her."

  "Should we take a visit to confront my ex-girlfriend?" I ask. I haven't spoken to her since our breakup. I'm completely over her and her bullshit.

 "Only if you think she'll tell the truth." He states.

 "She won't but its worth the try." I stand up.

  He takes my hand. "Alright then." I intertwine our fingers together as we walk out of our dorm. "I'm ready to do this for the good of the Downworlders and Shadowhunters." I state as we start walking towards Juliet's dorm.

  When we get there I squeeze Ashley's hand. I'm nervous because this can go two different ways, dangerously or easy. Or neither. I knock on the door and we wait for an answer.

  Seconds later Juliet stands in front of us with her tattooed arms crossed over her chest. "What the hell are you doing here? You haven't spoken to me since our breakup. What do you want?" she doesn't invite us to come in.

  I bite my lip. "We're here because we know you've been dating Oli and you are a werewolf. Which gives you easy access to my pack."

  Her eyes flare up. "If you're suggesting what I think you are, you couldn't be more wrong. I didn't know about the murders until he got arrested. So, no I'm not the one helping him." She states. her eyes gleam like they do when she speaks about someone she loves.

 "Then why don't I believe you?" Ashley says, raising an eyebrow.

 "Because I've lied before but I'm not lying about this." She says.

  "You are lying, I know you are." I state. There's an evil gleam in her eyes. The same look she has when she lies.

  "I'm guessing you're not leaving until I tell you the truth but you aren't going to get it." She says. I honestly didn't know what he was up to until he tried to convince me to help. I did give in that was until I found the actual truth, the actual plan. As soon as I did I backed out." She explains.

  I know from the look of fear in her eyes that she's telling the truth. "That's the truth. You're not the one helping him."

 She nods. "That's right, I'm not. Now go." She speaks in a harsh tone.

 With that, Ashley and I leave her dorm. I squeeze his hand as we walk out. "That was intense."

 He nods. "That was intense. Good to know that she's still a coldhearted bitch." He states.

  "She said she backed out which means that some part of her has a heart." I state. "But yes she's still a bitch."

 He nods. "That she is. Who else do you think could be helping him?" he states.

  I shrug. "I don't know. None of his bandmates know what he is. Who in the Clave would do this?" I ask even though he probably has no clue.

 "I don't know. Someone who has a grudge with Downworlders." He says.

  "I think I know who's behind this. Zara's dad." I state. Zara is the daughter of one of the members of the Conclave. Some of the members including her dad wants Downworlders to be on a registery or killed. "I think it's him. That makes perfect sense." I state.

 He squeezes my hand. "Shall we take a trip to Idris?"

 I shake my head. "No, we shouldn't. We should inform Jace and Clary." I state.

  He pulls out his phone to text Jace and Clary. He then puts it away. "they've been informed. We may have weeks until Warped but we graduate next week." He smiles.

  "Then after Warped we'll have two weddings to celebrate." I state. CC's and Ben's and Jake's plus Jinxx's.

  "I'm glad that we have each other to be there. To celebrate our friends' love." he grins. We are in love and I wouldn't want to lose him.

 "I love you." I say as we stop in front of the fountain where we had our first kiss.

 He sits on the bench. "I love you too. This place will always have a special place in my heart."

  "It will for me too. We decided to become something more than best friends here. We started to fall in love here." I state. I know he's been in love with me for a lot longer than I have been with him.

 He puts his head on my shoulder. "I'm never leaving you." He says.

  I kiss him deeply, wrapping my arms around him as we kiss. I love his lips on mine. His gorgeous smile as we kiss. He giggles. "I love you."

  "I love you too." I kiss him again. We must've stayed there for hours. I love him so much. I can't live without him.
