I was in the nurse's office laying down on the couch, and I heard the nurse talking to someone on the phone.
"Yes he is fine, he just fainted from stress,"
the nurse said, probably to my grandma.
"Alright I'll tell him when he wakes up,"
she said, and I closed my eyes. After waiting a few minutes I opened them slowly, and I saw that the nurse was sitting at her desk. When I sat up the nurse looked at me then stood up, and she came closer.
"So you're up finally,"
she said, I just nodded.
"Okay then, your grandmother told me to tell you that you can come home as soon as you woke up. They want to talk to you about something, and it seems important,'
she continued. I nodded,
"Okay, I'll go get my stuff. I'll leave when I'm ready,"
I said.
"Alright, have an absolutely awful summer,"
the nurse said, and I nodded.
"Okay bye,"
I said quickly, as I left the room to pack my school stuff. As soon as I finished packing, I left the building. When I reached the village, all of the houses were on fire except my grandparents' house. I screamed and a bright light surrounded me when the light was gone all of the house fires were put out. I ran as fast as I could, to get to the house that my only friend lived in. There wasn't a single pile of ashes, and there weren't no bodies found. I sighed, relieved that he and his family had escaped from the fire. Then I saw smoke coming from the forest, and I started sprinting as fast as I could. The smoke was coming from the village's safe-house, and the only way to find the village safe-house is to be a part of the village. When I reached the safe-house, it was already burned down to the ground. Then out of rage, I thought of who could've done this and I remembered that my grandparents' house was the only house not damaged. I ran 'home' and I went in, breathing heavily.
"I'm home!"
I called, and grandma walked over to welcome me.
"Welcome home young man,"
she said, about to hug me. I stopped her quickly,
"What did you want to tell me?"
I asked her, and she sighed.
"Come we'll talk in the living room,"
she said while leading the way to the living room. Grandpa was already waiting, and I looked at them curiously.
"We need to tell you why we took you away from your parents," Grandpa said quickly.
My eyes hardened,
"It was you,"
I said quietly, and my grandparents looked at each other.
"Excuse me? What did you say?"
grandma asked, and I looked right at them.
"It was you, wasn't it?"
I said louder, and I could tell that they knew what I was talking about.
"What do you mean?"
grandma asked
"Until now, you two always avoided that topic. You didn't tell me because you wanted me to uncover something, and you wanted to distract me from learning what it was. So in order for me to uncover it, you two destroyed the whole village,"
I said, as I raised my dominant arm to point at them. They both flinched, as I looked at them fiercely, and I showed no signs of dropping the topic.
"Y-Ye-Yes, we did it,"
Grandpa said, leaving grandma shocked.
"H-Honey! We agreed to never tell him this, no matter what tactics he used,"
she said, and he shook his head.
"You would agree with me if you knew what spell he was using,"
grandpa argued.
"He truly is just like his father, completely unpredictable,"
he said, and grandma was surprised.
"Leave now, before I do something I'll regret later. Remember this, next time you do something like this I won't give you a choice. So LEAVE!"
I yelled, and they were frozen in fear.
"It's Memory Lo-,"
grandfather started, but I interrupted him.
"Time's up, anything else you need to say?"
I asked, and grandmother nodded.
"We did this to protect you, please let us go. Remember, we are family,"
she said.
"I don't care if you did this to protect me. What I do care about, are all of the people you killed! You even killed my only friend!"
I started shouting, and both of my grandparents were scared.
"Memory Lock,"
I said, as I cast the spell. I watched them carefully, as the spell hit them. It failed, and they both looked at each other.
"Ha, ha, ha! That's a fake spell, even your father failed when casting it. The funny part is that your father is a 'real wizard', even though he couldn't cast that very same spell. Ha! You are just like him,"
grandfather laughed, and I clenched my fists tightly.
"Don't insult my dad!"
I yelled, and grandfather flinched.
"Fine,"
grandmother said, resting her hand on grandfather, and he calmed down.
"Okay, let's go now. We're taking you to see your parents,"
grandmother said, and I nodded as I grabbed my stuff and followed my grandparents to the car. When I got in the car, we left to go see my mom and dad for the very first time. I was excited because I was about to see my parents. Normally a kid wouldn't be happy to see their parents, but I'm not exactly what someone would call normal. I'm a wizard, apparently.
