"i'm happy for you scarlett."

she was my best friend. i've known her for years together. i knew i can't fall for her, but yet i did. i fell for her.

and i'm irrevocably in love with her.

but not once did she notice my love for her. not once.

she only saw me as a friend. of course i couldn't tell my feelings to her.

i was afraid of losing her.

it was always him. it was always haechan. it was always him she had eyes for.

haechan, my older brother.

"scarlett!" the teacher shouted and she jerked from her trance.

"you failed in english again." she sighed and gave the report card to her.

"what? not again!" scarlett whined.

the teacher sighed and looked at me. i could almost see a bulb lighting inside her head.

"mingyu! as you are my best student, you will teach scarlett one new word everyday."
