*Zinner's POV*
"Lord Louis, did it seriously have to be him? The one I fell head over heels for? Man, I was so stubborn at your age." I sighed. "I was around the age of 16? yeah."
"Anyways, I was out with a lot of my friends that night , back in my neighborhood a lot of us would gather together and see movies and hangout by the park. My friends thought it'd be fun to go hangout at the park late after the movies, which I wasn't fully aware of the stories I've been told about staying out late like that. But y'know, being me, I followed along and we hung out like the usual.
It started getting later, people leaving, and we weren't aware. It was just a few of us there, and we decided to play hide and seek, childish for my age." I nervously chuckled. "My bestfriend at that time was a girl named Eliza, who was anything related to adventurous. She began counting and we all took our paths. Of course, I took the less taken route towards an alleyway nearby.
I remember leaning against a dumpster out of breath hearing Eliza yell in the distance 12, 13, 14- I was a pretty fast runner. Thinking it was Eliza in the distance, I saw a tall dark figure coming towards me. That's when I knew I screwed up, and it definitely was not her. Turned out it was a... Vampire. Not just any vampire, but Lord Louis. The Lord Louis who's kept me captive working here along with many other "makeup artists" in this station. There's no way of escape, I haven't been back home in 10 years." I sighed wiping away the tears that were forming in my eyes.
She looked pale and shocked. Clara looked up and looked away, I'm probably just worrying her more...
"Er-sorry..." I hesitated. "Louis.. j-just stay away from him. He's a bad person. You don't want to get on his bad side, or else."
"I-okay." Clara replied.

*Clara's POV*
Hearing what Zinner went through, is just, wow. How was it for her not being able to see her loved ones and her family this long? I wish I could get her out of here...
"Well.. Let's get you readied up for the choosing." Zinner snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Okay." I murmured to myself.
I'm anxious for what Zinner is going to wardrobe me in. I know she's getting me a dress for the "celebration" tomorrow, but what about my outfit for what every vampire will see me in? I paled in realizing they'll most likely examine my body as well.
"Here's your presenting clothing, darling." Zinner smiled.
The clothing was of a beautiful white flowing dress with laced long sleeves of flowers. Whenever I put movement into it, the clothing glimmered. This is by far way too fancy for something fowl like this "Choosing".
"Wow, isn't this too fancy for something like this? It's so beautiful." I said.
"Well to tell ya the truth, everyone's supposed to be wearing white. By policy, here, you're gonna have to look fancy for things like this." Zinner replied. I really didn't think twice about how precise things were here.
"You look beautiful, so how 'bout we go to the choosing now, okay?" Zinner Smiled.
Well this is it.
The way my life changes forever.Zinner began to lead me out to the huge hallway of doors. Each and every door kept me to thinking what's really in there? We came closer and closer to what sounded like muffled music; probably the room where the Choosing will be taking place. Zinner opened to big wooden doors leading to an dreading sight-- the Choosing.
"Behave." Zinner said quietly. We walked over to a long line of young girls looking around my age.
"You're going to stay in the line, walk up onto the stage and make sure to smile. No matter how gruesome it may be, the event and the questions they'll be asking you itself, make it look like you're worth buying." Zinner smiled.
"Good Luck." she patted my back and left.
Great. I'm alone, with a ton of traumatized girls, who better can this get? People began to fill the room by the second. I didn't think that there'd be enough room for all the people in this decent sized room.
"Not the right time to cry, Clara. Remember, your makeup will smear.." I scoffed to myself.
Everyone began to sit and take their places as the music's volume decreased.
"Hello, and welcome to the 60th Choosing!" a cheery woman dressed in a sparkly purple dress on stage pronounced.
"As you most may already know, I'm Rachael Hemmings, the Choosing council member!" Rachael squealed excitedly.
"These ladies to the side, are our wonderful choices for this Choosing! Remember, be kind, and choose wisely of your choices! Also, NO RETURNS." Rachael demanded.
"Anyways, welcome our January Birth ladies!" Rachael waved her hands towards the groups of girls while the audience clapped who I assumed were born in January according to Rachael.
The first girl was an extremely tall brunette with long hair and an average looking weight. She looked so shooken up and nervous, she was turning pale.
"This is Mariah Stewart! She has blue eyes and brown hair. Her tattoo represents a growing sunflower. Her hobbies are singing, and running! You won't regret a single night with this girl!" Rachael read off the card she had in her hand.
It took a moment, but three hands rose. One middle aged looking man was pointing to his wrist showing he had the matching tattoo. The man rose and ran up towards the guards so they could verify his purchase of the girl with his matching tattoo. The hunched man grew a sinister smile across his face while violently dragging the screaming girl outside. I began to tear up knowing that's what was going to happen to me.
Each and every girl began screaming and shouting while getting dragged outside with their "owner". I began to panic when Rachael got to February, my birthdate.
"Next up is Kathie George!" Rachael yelled while a plump girl walked up onstage.
"She has brown eyes and dirty blonde hair. Her tattoo resembles the shining plump peach of the golden trees... Her hobbies are eating and animals. I'm sure you can do a lot with this woman." Rachael silently scoffed waiting for the audience's responses. How rude is she? That's all so screwed up, seriously.
No one in the audience rose their hand, which I can tell made the girl by the name of Kathie anxious.
"She's a piece of trash, not worth it!" someone yelled from the audience which made me boil on the inside.
"Check.. check the wrists of the audiences." Rachael sighed frustratedly.
It didn't take long for the two guards to pull out a skinny short man with the same tattoo as Kathie.
"She's ugly as shit, I don't want that." the man scoffed while being shoved up to the now crying, Kathie.
"Let's go, I can put you to some use." the man pulled Kathie down the stairs to the exit.
My heart began to skip a beat, lord, it's my turn. Maybe I can make a run for it? I began to panic while Rachael was getting the new set of information and cards.
Well I'm guessing actions like that are too late, I thought to myself while Rachael began to clear her throat at the microphone.
