They met one night of March.
She was alone as always; trying to understand why her parents had taken her to that supposedly family vacation.
She went to bed early every night so the day in which they went back to her house arrived faster. But they still had four days and she was almost tired of sleeping.
One night. That was everything they needed to start their story. She was about to go to bed and her friend decided to call her just to see if she would accept. Allie never did but her mom practically begged her to.
They went out and sat in Juliette's grandmother's front porch.
Two motorcycles parked in front of them and Allison felt her heart rush. Who were these people? Why were they here? She didn't want to be there, she should've gone to sleep.
But now it was too late and in less than ten seconds she found herself following Juliette out to greet the men in the vehicles.
She was so nervous, so uncomfortable. She just wanted to disappear.
He couldn't stop looking at her and he wanted to know why she couldn't stop looking at the ground.
She was so beautiful yet so timid. And when she licked her lips he almost fainted. He wanted her.
"Hello, boys. Why did you take so long?" Juliette almost yelled and Allie shrugged.
"Sorry, babe. We had to stop to get some things" Thomas hugged and kissed his girlfriend.
"It's fine. Don't worry," She answered. "Anyway. Come on; let's sit down so I introduce you to my friend,"
"Sure thing."
They all went inside and sat in the chairs the two girls had left before.
"Tommy, Paul. This is Allison, my best friend. Allie, you already know Thomas. So this is Paul, his best friend,"
"Hello, Allison." Said Paul in a deep voice with a thick British accent.
"Hi." She whispered.
"Alright! So, what do we do now?"
Juliette kept rambling and talking non-stop while Allison hugged herself until her blood almost stopped flooding.
"Allison." She heard one voice talking to her, which was exactly what she was trying to avoid. Specially coming from the guy with the weird voice.
"Yes?"
"I like your hair,"
"Thanks," She said back wishing to finish the conversation.
"That's it? That's all you're going to say? One syllable words?"
"No. I mean, not really." That's when her cheeks began to blush, why was he talking to her? She wasn't even nice.
"You are very beautiful,"
"I am not,"
"Why do you think so?"
"Because that's the truth,"
"Why?"
"Are you going to keep asking ridiculous questions?"
"Wow. Attitude. I like it."
"Stop, would you?"
He then figured out a way to keep their conversation private.
Hi. He texted in his phone.
Excuse me? She answered and gave him his phone back.
I thought you didn't want to talk personally. So I decided it would be nice if we talked here.
Okay.
How old are you?
Why do you want to know?
Because if it is not obvious, I like you.
You can't like me, we just met.
But I do. Now, tell me, please.
I'm fourteen.
I am eighteen. It is the first time I ever see you around here.
I came for vacation.
That is great. How long are you going to stay here?
Four more days.
Loud music blasted from two huge speakers from across the street making Allie frown.
Well, those are not good news.
Why?
Because I want to make you fall in love with me.
I'm fourteen. I can't fall in love.
But you will, baby girl. I promise.
"Paul, we have to go now. My mom is waiting for me." Thomas said standing up.
"Yes, sure,"
"Bye, princess. I will see you tomorrow." He talked again kissing Juliette.
"Okay, boo. Love you."
"Love you too."
"Are you going to be here tomorrow night?" Paul's voice almost couldn't be heard because he wanted Allison and only her to know what he had to say.
"Probably not; unless my mom makes me stay up until late,"
"Please, stay. I want to see you,"
"You shouldn't want to."
"But I do."
"Let go, lovebirds. You will see each other tomorrow." Allie wanted to be invisible. She'd never been called that before and she didn't want it to be the first time.
"Good bye, Allison. I will miss you."
"Thank you."
"Have a nice sleep, yes?" He said and kissed her cheek. Now she was going to die.
"Bye, Paul." She managed to say.
"Bye, Juliette, it was good to see you."
"Bye, Paulie! See you tomorrow." She answered and smiled.
The two girls watched them get on their vehicles, Paul's eyes never leaving hers. She didn't feel right. She wanted to throw up. They left and Juliette looked at her.
"He did like you, didn't he?" She winked.
"He is just a boy."
"Well, if it helps, Tom said he liked you from the moment he saw you, like, for real." They started picking up the chairs.
"I don't like him."
"It's okay. You don't have to."
"Now I'm hungry."
They both chuckled. "Let's go get you something."
