{Hey all, I originally posted this on my first account, KitCatCate03 but have been locked out of said account. After numerous, failed attempts at getting into my account, I was forced to admit defeat. But all hope is not gone! Thus, I shall continue the story on this account. The other story I had started, Abnormalities, will be undergoing series editing before being posted. So that may take awhile. This story may also undergo future editing. However, for now, enjoy the story and I apologise for anything this may have caused. Thanks for still reading!}

Virgil's POV

He pulled up his hood and wrapped his jacket tighter around his shivering form, ignoring his rumbling stomach. Feet slapped against the pavement sending droplets flying. The rain soaked him to the bone and left a deep, aching, numb pain. He felt nothing anymore.

He continued walking but he had no where to go. Swallowing past the lump in his throat, he headed toward the only source of light in the dark streets. It was a small cafe, closed and empty. It would have seemed deserted if it weren't for the small light still on.

The door is locked but he doesn't want to go inside. He doesn't want to be seen.

Cautiously, he peers around the side and steps into the alleyway next to the shop. Part of the shops roof hangs over the alley, creating a dry place for him to stand. Pulling his hoodie over his hands nervously, he walks down the alley, keeping his eyes peeled for any sign of movement. Reaching the rubbish bins out back, he prays that they haven't been emptied yet. They haven't.

He rummages around finding some half eaten pastries and half a sandwich. To him, it is a feast.

He gulps it down on the spot, to hungry and tired to move to a safer place. It is gone in seconds and he leans back in to search for more. Stumbling he bumps into the can and knocks it over. Terrified, he freezes, horror chilling his blood as the door to the restaurant opens and a man steps out.

A small whimper escapes his throat and he stumbles back causing the man to face him. His bright blue shirt stands out against the dark and the concerned look on his face scares him.

"Hello, are you ok? Do you need help?" Terrified, he feels his breathing quicken and his hands start to shake, he needs to leave.

"Your not ok, can I help? Oh no" the man noticed his sped up breathing and reached for him.

The sight of a hand coming closer causes him to launch backward. The rain causes his shoes to slip out from under him and he falls backward, whacking his head on the cement.

The last thing he sees is the man running toward him, pulling out a phone. Everything goes black.

Patton's POV

Patton panics and pulls out his cell phone and calls the first number on his contacts. Logan picks up.

"Salutations?"

"Logan, oh, thank goodness." He freaks "I need your help, thismanslippedandfelloutsidethecafeandidontknowwhattodo".

"Okay, okay! Calm down and tell me exactly what happened, I'm on my way. I'll bring Roman".

Patton paced back and forth as he and Roman waited for Logan to return. They had carried the man upstairs to the small home above the cafe. They placed him in the spare room and left, allowing Logan to make a diagnosis.

"Calm down Patton, I'm sure he's fine" Roman stated, standing up and placing a hand on Patton's shoulder, "Logan will take care of him".

"I know but he's just so small and looks so sick! I can't help but care"

"I know, it'll be ok. When he wakes up, we'll just ask where he needs to go or who to contact, it'll be fine."

At that, Logan came downstairs, his face serious and creased by a small frown.

"How is he?" Patton asked just as Roman asked "who is he?"

"There was nothing to identify him by so for now, we will have to wait until he wakes up. Second, he appears to have passed out from a multitude of things, including hunger, dehydration, exhaustion and physical injuries. He has a slight fever and if he gets any worse, I'd suggest bringing him to the hospital."

"Poor kid" Patton murmurs, hands clenched tightly as his sides.

Roman moved past him and sat down on the couch, "so now what? Is there anyone we can call to come get him?"

Logan sighed, "I just told you that we have no way of knowing who he is or who he knows. But what I do know, is that he didn't come from a good situation, if his current, physical condition is anything to go by. It would be unwise to move him or make any decisions right now."

Patton stood from where he had sat next to Roman, "he can stay here till he is better."

Logan nodded, "I don't suppose Roman and I could stay also, it is too late to go anywhere and I have some questions I would like to ask when he wakes up".

"Of course, but one of you will have to sleep on the couch."
