Avery Michaels is just another teenage girl. She's kind, outgoing, and really smart. She and her friends prefer to keep out of the spotlight. Which means keeping out of the way of the popular kids.
Jonah Douglas is popular. He's the star athlete and, to be honest, pretty good looking. His on and off girlfriend is the head cheerleader, Sabrina Williams. Every girl wants him, and every boy wants to be him.
Sabrina has broken up with Jonah, yet again. In an attempt to get her back, he dials her number, but in his haste, his finger slips, pressing a 5 instead of a 4 - Avery's number ( who he doesn't even know exists).
The call is forwarded to voicemail and he sends a long basically verbal love letter- without mentioning Sabrina's name even once.
When Avery hears it later on, it's safe to say she is beyond confused.
