Her Loss

"I am ready Amma" she said

"Kanna atleast see who the boy is" her Amma said standing behind her as her daughter stood looking out of the big window looking at the night sky

"You and Appa have choosed him then it's a yes from me to" she said with a blank expression

"But Kanna...." her mother tried one more time

"Amma please this discussion ends here" she said without turning her mother

Seeing her like this her Amma signed

"Ok so I will tell your that you said yes they will be so happy" her mother said and left the room as she stood there near the window her head rested on the window pane

She looked at the moon and the stars

"My favorite star is in my arms" his voice ranged in his ears as she closed her eyes letting a tear roll down her cheek

The moonlight made her face shine and her baby pink punjabi suit looked more beautiful

"Why Manik?" she whispered to no one

"Nandu" a girl but older to her entered in her room

"Challo everyone is waiting for you at the dinner table" she said as Nandini turned and took her duptta from her bed

"Jaiye Bhabhi I will be there in few mintues" she said in a low voice

"Jaldi aa" her Bhabi said and left the place

Nandini washed her face and went down to join the people talking and waiting for her at the dinning table

"I don't know but she called and said she is fine that she wanted to meet even Dad was there, they did a video call on Mahir's phone, you can ask him" Manik said as Mukti, Navya, Abhi and Cabir turned to Mahir who was seating with Sneha and Swadhinta as the two girls were asking him the same thing

"That's true ok" Mahir said tired of the drama going around

"The lady who called was Manik's mother, she also did a video call and even his father is alive and I don't know how, I don't know anything about magic or miracle, I am not an Expert" he suddenly stopped after saying the last word

"Ok we believe you" Cabir said sensing the change of environment

"But what did they say?" he asked turning to Manik

"They wanted to meet me and so asked me to visit where they are leaving" Manik said with happy eyes, he was spellbound when he heard his mother who kept calling his name as he sat there beliveing it was his mother on the other end

He said to stop making a fool of his emotions to the person as he refuse to believe it was his mother at the other end so his mother asked him to do a video call

After he disconnected Mahir's phone again rang indicating a video call from and unknown number which belonged to India

With tembling hands Manik had answered the phone to his parents sitting together and looking at him through the screen smiling yet tears in their eyes

Seeing them Manik had just cried like a baby and Aadarsh and Mahir had a tough time controlling him

They had hugged him tight as Manik refused to see the phone Mahir was the one who talked to his parents assuring Manik was fine as Aadarsh was handling Manik
