November 1st.

On this autumn morning, the sky was gray and a light mist covered the streets of the city. Raindrops clattered against the old cobblestones of the street and the windows of the houses.

A calm, endless rain.

(Y/n) woke up softly. She got up and walked toward the window of her bedroom and stared at the relaxing rain behind the window quietly.

She began to close her eyes but voices at the back of the house surprised her.

"Wh-what are those voices? ..."

She turned quickly towards the direction of the voices that seemed to come from her mother's room.

"Mom has guests?..."

She started to approach the door and suddenly opened it.

"Ah-"

The old neighbors in front of her looked at her. There was also an unknown man with them.

"(Y/N)"

The old woman neighbor suddenly took her in her arms.

"Madam neighbor?... What's going on?..."

The old woman moved away and looked at her with a sad look. Her husband approached with clenched fists wearing the same expression.

"... Mom is alright?"

The unknown man slowly approached the girl and squatted down in front of her. He put his hand right on her shoulder and looked into her eyes.

"Hello (y/n), I am a doctor and I'm here to look for your mom."

(Y/n) stared at him and listened attentively.

"(Y/n) ... your mom just passed away this night."

"... what ...?"

Time seemed to have stopped. Void invaded the spirit of (y/n), as if her life had just collapsed.

She was so lost that she could not hear the neighbors anymore, even the doctor who spoke to her and reassured her. For her, everything was finished.

Her mother, who was her only happiness, had just disappeared forever.

"N-no ... it can't be possible ..."

"I'm sorry." Said the doctor.

(Y /n) fell into tears. She no longer listened to anyone. Only her cries of despair echoed in her head.

She was too desperate that she didn't hear the police coming suddenly in the room. One of the policemen approached her and took her by the wrist.

"LEAVE ME ALONE! I WANT TO SEE MY MOM !!"

The policeman didn't listen to her and carried her away from her mother's bed. She cast a look of distress to her neighbors but they didn't move. They stared at her with a sad look without saying anything. (Y/n) was struggling to see her late mother, but the policeman were too strong for her.

She was taken away from her home the second day after her birthday, and the day of her mother's death.

That day, she lost faith.

3 months later.

It had been 3 months since (y/n) was in an orphanage.

She had no family so the police took her to an orphanage.

She felt so lonely and sad.

She had no friends and didn't talk to anyone. She no longer trusted anyone. She didn't feel any emotions anymore. Her world was empty.

And all the children were all afraid of her. Sometimes strange things happen around her that she does not understand herself.

When she is in deep sorrow, furniture moves around her, the atmosphere of the room becomes gloomy...

She was strange.

She was scary.

She was a monster.

She had lost faith.

One night she was in the back of the dormitories in a corner against the window.

She was still thinking about the time spent with her mother.

She wanted to see her again so much. She wanted to see her reassuring smile.

She was deep in thought but she was interrupted by someone who opened suddently the chamber's door.

The person was a tall man with white hair and glasses. He had a long priest's toga.

(Y/n) didn't move an inch and kept looking at the stranger. He looked at her and began to approach.

"Hi, I'm Shiro, I'm a priest. I bet you're (Y/n) right? You can count me now, everything is alright."

He smiled calmly as he looked at the little girl, but she still didn't speak.

"I know it could be wierd to trust someone you just met huh.. But don't worry, I'll get your ass out of this orphenage and you're goin' with me."

She still didn't want to trust him. Even if he is a priest he could not replace his mother. Nobody could replace her.

"Listen, I know I can't replace your mother-"

(Y/n) looked into his eyes.

"But I know this place is not for you, I can teach you how to protect yourself against the Devil."

(Y/n) remembered her mother's words.

...why do they look so similar?...

(Y/n) didn't want to stay one more day in this orphanage. Priest Shiro reflects kindness and wisdom. He could defend her against the Devil ... and she also has nothing to lose.

"... Help me ..."

Shiro's eyes widened and he listened intently to the little girl.

"Help me find my faith..."
