- soft smut for the soft hearts. -

The clock's ticking echoed throughout the not-so busy coffee shop. Along with Hansol's fingers impatiently tapping on the counter, the flipping of book pages, ball pens lightly pressing against paper, and lips sipping on coffee - these were the only things that could be heard within the wooden space. It was a Monday morning, roughly around 7 o'clock, meaning Hansol had only welcomed three customers since his arrival at 5.

Not that he was complaining of the silence flooding the whole shop. In fact, he liked how he wasn't spilling coffee everywhere and wrongly pressing buttons on the cash register, because that's how busy hours looked like to him. His Monday morning would've been quite lovely if only a certain someone wasn't late to work.In the middle of his aggravating thoughts, a familiar head and goofy smile popped in his sights. The bell dangling on the entrance rang as the late-comer swung the door open. The said person softly jogged towards the male who was currently rolling his eyes and sighing in frustration.

Seungkwan was patting down the sweat sticking on his pale skin as he went closer to Hansol. Finally meeting the counter, he let out a breathy giggle, "I'm late."

"No shit, sherlock," Hansol deadpanned. His eyes followed the male as he entered the staff room. Hansol heard a couple of items shuffling inside the room, he assumed that the boy was settling down his belongings. Seconds after, the mop of blue hair exited the room and trudged towards him. He just stared at the lovely pair of eyes and bright smile that he has always adored, but not so much when he's tardy. Which is, almost everyday.

"I'm sorry, won't happen again," Seungkwan beamed as he placed a soft kiss on his partner's cheeks. Just by that, Hansol's insides and mind turned into a mush. At the same time, he was frustrated at how soft he becomes when it comes to Seungkwan. He wasn't able to get mad at his lovely partner, especially when the boy shows affection as a form of apology. Although Seungkwan acted the same, he isn't as frequently stressed like Hansol is. Truly, it was unfair.

"That's what you say everyday," Hansol replied.Seungkwan just laughed shortly while he busied himself with the coffee machine. Hansol scrunched his eyebrows as he observed his partner. Realizing what Seungkwan was doing, he spat, "Are you seriously making coffee for yourself, in my own shop?"

Placing a lid on his drink, Seungkwan then inserted a straw in it as his final touches. Taking a sip on his fresh coffee, his eyes met his partner's glassy brown ones which were shinning in disbelief. He winked, "An Americano in the morning isn't so bad."

Hansol just rolled his eyes. "What's bad is you don't pay for it."

Seungkwan pouted, "I do. That is, unless I forget." He laughed a bit as he eyed the whole shop. His orbs only caught three people, it wasn't a new sight for him either. Mornings were rough, especially on Mondays. For him, and perhaps for most people, Monday is just another start of a hell week. The weekends' had just ended, who'd want to get up at 6 A.M. and go to a coffee shop at 7?

Yes, those three strangers occupying the seats in the shop are definitely those people.

Seungkwan sighed, still feeling his heart beating fast from the hurried run to work earlier. He groaned as he approached the staff room, "Can I catch my breath for a while?"

Before Hansol could reply, the entrance bell rang again, signalling of someone's arrival. Hansol's eyes landed on the tall man who was wearing the same set of uniform. Hansol raised a brow, "And you're late too."

Mingyu flashed his usual toothy and cheeky grin at his boss, "Sorry, someone kept me late."For the second time of the morning, Hansol rolled his eyes. He wasn't particularly stressed with Mingyu's attendance, since this was the male's first record of tardiness. He'll talk with the elder later, he needs to settle things with his partner first. "Can you watch the counter for me? I just need to discuss matters with Seungkwan."
