Chapter 22: The Ringleader

Jimin's P.O.V

I was on my way to the kitchen to get a bottle of coke. After reading 4 volume of manga, it's really making me thirsty all of the sudden. Through the corridor just as I passed by Namjoon hyung's room, I hear a soft thud. Like the sound of something falling. And it made me paused from my track and turned my head slowly at the specific door. Curious...I turned the door knob and waltz into the room without second thought.

"Hyung?,,,", I whispered. I looked around the room to see if something strange going on. And to my surprise, I saw Namjoon hyung was on the floor, laying straight on his stomach, face directly kissing the cold floor with a hard covered book as thick as thesaurus at his side. Hesitated a little bit, I approached him slowly and give him a few second stare before I asked him. "Hyung....? I know that I must ask this question no matter what coz I'm curious and all and I wanna make sure if everything is okay with you so.....is there seems to be a problem or did something seems to surprised you....? Or are you just being weird? No offense tho, coz I'm not surprised if you can be as weird as Taehyung but seriously, what are you really doing on the floor facing down? I mean what's this?".

I squat down and picked the book up and read the cover of the book out loud. "Bodyguard Brothers: A Manage Romance?" I looked really curious by reading the title coz it was in english and all. But I know what each words means. I avert my eyes off the said book and looked at Namjoon hyung's bed. There were several other books which I assumed to be novels scattered on top of the bed. I move closer to get a clear view on each one of the book's titles.

"Foster...Brother? Opposition? Oblivion...?" I read. There were three books of Oblivion which have numbers on each cover which I knew it was basically a series book. I put down the book that I picked, on the bed and use my free hand to grab my phone from my pocket to search up those meaning in each book. After I knew the meanings, I searched up those five books and learnt something common about it as I read through the summaries and tag. It was based on overprotective guys. I widened my eyes and swiftly looked at my hyung with million of questions inside my head.

"Hyung....I don't think having an overprotective brother for your sister is a good idea".

With those words coming out from my mouth, Namjoon hyung suddenly pushed his body upwards with the support of his arms on the floor with a serious face. "I believe that I also have the same right as my parents with whom my sister's going out with". Realising what he said, he turned his face at my direction. "Why are we talking about my sister all of the sudden?"

I arch an eyebrow upward, giving him a qustioning look. "It's not it? I'm very certain that it was about your sister".

"How in the world does it get to this?"

"Those books on your bed", I rolled my eyes towards the scattered books.

He turned his head around so that he can see what I meant and then he sat crossed legs after. Giving me the perfect description of a blank face, which by the way was totally freaking me out. Coz I'm not so sure if he's okay in the head right now with the situation he's in. "........Was that a no?"

Namjoon hyung sighed hard. He looked down for a mere seconds before he straighten his body again. "No....that wasn't it". I didn't say anything as I want him to continue but there wasn't a single word coming out of his mouth anymore and I have to start asking. "So....what's up?" I marched right next to him and sat beside him at his left. "Didn't mean to pry but you look like you're troubled by something. And reading such...novels based on overprotective siblings especially guys really hits me hard on what's going on. And I'm hoping it is not what I think it is".
