I woke up from the sun beaming through my window. Today was my first day at work. I got a job as an intern at the Seattle Grace hospital. That's when all of a sudden I realised there was a man sleeping next to me. Naked. Fuck. I threw a pillow of his as I got up to get ready for my first day. I could already tell I was going to be late. I asked what the guys name was and he said it was Derek. Derek Shepherd. He left my house I got on with getting ready. I vaguely remember meeting him at a bar last night.

I walked into the hospital so happy to be working there. Firstly we were given a speech by someone called Dr. Webber. It went a bit something like this.

"A month ago you were in med school being taught by doctors. Today you are the doctors. The 7 years you spend here as a surgical resident will be the best and worst of your life. 8 of you will move to an easier specialty. 5 of you will crack under pressure. 2 of you will be asked to leave. This is your starting line. This is your arena. How well you play that's up to you"

After the speech we all made our way to the lockers to change into the light blue scrubs. I saw a few of my new colleagues so I decided to say hi. One of them was called Cristina. I could already tell we were going to be amazing friends. Maybe she would become my person?

Just then a short woman with brown hair walked through the door shouting names and who there attending would be. "Grey, Stevens, Yang, Karev, O'Malley. Your with me." Great were with the bossy one. Then all of a sudden someone said something to me. It was Cristina. "I've heard they call her the nazi" I just laughed at her and nodded my head she was funny. 

Eventually we made our way over to the front desk. In front of us we're a bunch of pagers and different things. Then she started to give us a speech how many of these things am I gonna hear today.

"I have 5 rules. Memorise them. Rule one don't bother sucking up. I already hate you that's not gonna change. Rule two answer every page as a run. A run. Rule three if I'm sleeping don't wake me. Unless your patient is actually dying. Rule four the dying patient better not be dead when I get there. Not only would you have killed someone you would have woke me for no good reason. Rule five when I move you move"

Just as she said that our pagers started to beep. The first ever patient is about to arrive. I don't know whether to be nervous or exited. She was called Katie Bryce. She had seizures. We rushed her to a room and became to calm her down with Dr.Bailey shouting at us every step of the way.

Then everyone was designated specific jobs. George was on patient workups. Cristina was on labs. Izzie was on rectal exams and me well I was left to take Katie for a CT scan. She's my responsibility now I can't mess this up.

~A few hours had passed~

I went to find Dr.Bailey to see if she knew where Dr.Burke was. He's the other doctor on Katie's case. That's when she told me that he was off the case and she now belonged to Dr.Shepherd. I looked over and I was frozen.

It was him. The guy from the bar. He was my boss. Great start.
