It is my birthday today and it turns out that my last visit with family was today. No one brought sad faces, only smiles. Most of my family brought portraits of me they had made or gotten. I think everyone was happy I had made it to 64 before I died. I will miss my family and hope to see them on the other side.
The rest of my story is told today.
After compleating standing alone I started to walk again. A few weeks later I was sent back into battle with Alex by my side. We survived the rest of the war with no more injuries or illnesses. At the end of the war we had won and were sent home to our loved ones. James and Adelaide both went home proud of themselves. James was especially proud of his wife for her part in the war. Adelaide is gone to the other side now and I do not know what happened to James. I lived out the rest of my life with the joy of family and friends at my side.
I am John Mclead and this is my story.
